One of the things that I enjoy doing the most is unplugging. To just turn my phone off, and have time to myself is something that I really enjoy doing.
Unplugging doesn't have to be for a whole day, it can be for a couple hours. These are hours you can spend to yourself, doing whatever you want to do.
When I unplug, I turn my phone off, and just leave it in my pocket or back at my dorm, and I go for a walk or I go sit somewhere quiet and reflect on everything going on. This helps me calm down, and to not be so stressed out. When you are always on the go, and do not have time for yourself it wont be beneficial to you or the people around you. You have to find the balance so that you are more productive.
When I unplug I do things that make me happy, and that have nothing to do with work whatsoever. I watch movies, or watch my favorite TV shows, and I listen to music.
What I have found beneficial when unplugging:
1. It helps me feel more prepared to do the work I have to do.
2. It helps balance out work and play.
3. It helps me reflect on everything going on and brings the focus back.
4. It allows me time to be responsibility free, and lets you have fun.
I like to unplug once every couple of weeks, because it helps me improve my focus on all the things that I have had to accomplish this semester.
Try unplugging, see what it can do for you!
