Roses are the traditional Mother's Day go-to flower choice. But, shocker, there are so many other flowers to choose from! Some may even give your mom a good laugh. Here's a list of flowers other than roses to get your mom for Mother's Day.

1. Epiphytic Orchid

This orchid looks remarkably like a baboon. This would be perfect for your mom if she's a monkey-lover (or as an apology for "monkey-ing" around).

2. Naked Man Orchid (Orchis Italica)

This orchid could look just like you and your mom. The two little flower people even seem to be smiling! Happy Mother's Day mom, here is a flower of us smiling together and holding hands!

3. Psychotria Elata

Also known as Hookers' Lips, this is a flower you won't want to give your mom unless you have a *special* relationship with her. If she has the right sense of humor, you might get a laugh out of her.

4. Impatiens Bequaertii

Also known as Dancing Girl Impatiens, this flower is perfect for its small shape. Not to mention that it will remind your mom of you as a child! These are super cute, tiny and the perfect Mother's Day gift.

5. Impatients Psittacina

These pretty flowers are also known as the Parrot Flower. These are perfect for the bird-loving mothers out there. Look how cute they are!

6. Caleana Major

These are also known as the Flying Duck Orchid. They're also perfect for the bird-loving mothers! The colors are also so pretty and will light up any room.

7. Orchid That Looks Like A Tiger

This flower is the perfect one for any animal-loving mother. It looks just like a tiger, the colors are beautiful together and it goes with just about any piece in a house. I know I would love to have this one in my home!

8. Calceolaria Uniflora

Happy alien is a fitting name for these orchids as they literally look like smiling aliens. These wild colors will be perfect in any room to liven it up a little. Give these to your mom if she's looking for more out-of-the-box flowers!

9. Peristeria Elata

Also known as the dove or Holy Ghost orchid, these flowers will be perfect if your mother loves doves or is religious. Or, ya know, if your mom is into the paranormal, too.

10. Antirrhinum

These flowers look oddly similar to the Death Eaters from Harry Potter. So if your mom is a Slytherin or really into Harry Potter, these might be perfect for her!

11. Dicentra Spectabilis

These are also known as bleeding heart roses and are often mistaken for Valentine's Day decorations! But nope, they're just flowers. These are super pretty and any mom would love to get these on Mother's Day!

12. Habenaria Radiata

This bird-like flower is enough to make any mother happy on Mother's Day! Get your mom these flowers to add to that empty vase on the kitchen table. The cat will probably like these too!

So don't be generic this Mother's Day. Roses are out, these flowers are in! Get your mom one of these flowers to make her special day ~extra~ special.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
