Unique Gifts for Father's Day

When looking for unique gifts for Father's Day, consider your dad. Think about his hobbies and what he enjoys most. Read the suggestions below and pick one that fits him well.

Nice Clothes Make A Nice Gift

Those who pick out a tie aren't trying very hard, and their dad most likely will never wear it, but there are plenty of clothing items that will make any dad happy. If your dad doesn't have a nice sport coat, then buy him one. A leather jacket or a nice pair of jeans are two other quality items that your dad might appreciate receiving.

Give Him The Firearm He Wants

If your dad has a few firearms and you know that he wants another, then buy it for him. Give him money toward the new firearm if you aren't sure what to pick. If his hobby is hunting or he likes to know that he is protecting his family well, then he will enjoy any firearm-related gift. There are places to order online, which will also provide you the time to research and make the right purchase.

Buy Him A Membership For Lasting Fun

Whether your dad is interested in working out at the gym or would love to get into golfing more, a membership can help him out with either of those things. You could also get him a membership to a shooting range, or to a local pool, where he can spend all summer relaxing. A membership is a gift that provides lasting enjoyment, and he will think of you every time he takes advantage of it.

Something For His Vehicle Is Always Nice

If your dad loves his car or truck, then you can get something for it. Buy him new seat covers or get it detailed. Get him a funny bumper sticker or buy a new keyring you know he will enjoy.

A Good Meal Can Make A Great Gift

When your dad seems to have everything, the only thing you might have to offer him is your time. Take your dad to his favorite restaurant on Father's Day and make that your gift. Tell him you will cook for him one day if you know how to make a favorite food of his and invite him over. This unique gift is one your dad will treasure.

Consider Dad's Favorite Sports Team

If you want to give your dad something you know he is going to enjoy, then you need to consider his favorite sports team. Buy a jersey or an autographed ball. Get him tickets to a special event where he can meet the players or buy him a nice hat. Anything you get that has something to do with the team is a good choice.

Shoes Are Always Fun To Give

There are so many varieties and styles of shoes out there, and when you want to buy them for your dad, you can find the perfect pair for him. If he enjoys exercising, then you can get him a nice pair of athletic shoes. If he enjoys dressing up, then you can get him a shiny pair of loafers. Everyone enjoys having a new pair of shoes, and your dad will be happy with this unique gift.

Give your dad something he will love, and he will feel appreciated this Father's Day. Pick a unique item, like those listed above, and he will be surprised by it. You can spoil your dad by getting him something he would never think to buy himself.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
