Spring break is just around the corner but of course, professors make that closeness feel so far away with the help of presentations and tests. To power through those tasks during the week, it is essential to have a killer playlist of songs that’ll drive motivation and eliminate distraction. Listening to pop and all of the latest songs will bring back the energy that may have been taken by the energy sucking midterms and presentations.

1. “Work” by Rhianna ft. Drake

This song will make you want to work, work, work, work, work. It is the top of the charts currently and for good reason. The beat and lyrics mix for the perfect energizing song which will start off your power study perfectly.

2. "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" by Mike Posner

It is a reminder of what is to come in your crazy and wild spring break. The dance beats and mixture of lyrics will pump you up so that you can continue on through those late night study sessions. It’s a good reminder that you can do it!

3. "Stressed Out" by Twenty One Pilots

If this song isn’t the basis of what you’re feeling right now, I don’t know what is. The alternative is a nice change of pace from the last two on the playlist and will not fail to keep you going. It is a bit slower and quieter so you’ll remain focused while having a fun beat in the background.

4. "untitled 02 | 06.23.2014" by Kendrick Lamar

The most popular song off of Kendrick Lamar’s new surprise album. The rapper’s new album is straight fire and so is this song. The slow beat in the background guarantees focus and determination, which is essential to conquering those awful assignments.

5. "Roses" by The Chainsmokers ft. ROZES

He already knows that my love is fire. This song, written by the artists of #SELFIE, provides a slower techno beat and great lyrics. “Roses” is worthy of being on your midterm playlist because it’ll wake you up and make you feel more energized and ready to study those terms for that chemistry midterm that you’re about to ace.

6. "Jumpman" by Drake ft. Future

Jumpman, jumpman, jumpman them boys up to something. Drake is always the answer to problems and so is this song. The artist is back with a chart-topping hit that deserves to be listened to for your midterms because it’ll keep you focused and concentrated.

7. "Cake by the Ocean" by DNCE

Former Jonas Brother, Joe Jonas, sings this pop song which is worthy for that almost done with studying, dance break. Turn it up and dance while you eat some "Cake by the Ocean."

8. "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1" by Kayne West

If you’re fortunate enough to be able to stream this off of TIDAL, put this song on your midterm playlist. Kayne West may have made it annoying to listen to his latest album but the price is definitely worth it. This song will not get out of your head until after your finals are done but that’s but it’ll definitely help you concentrate for those midterms.

9. "PILLOWTALK" by Zayne

The former One Direction star went in a different direction and it is frankly a good one. The song is dark, sexy and will be some background noise to cover up those chatty people in the library. Focus on the concept you need to learn for that oral presentation while blocking out other sounds with this great song.

10. "Stay" by Kygo ft. Maty Noyes

To round out the complete the study playlist with an upbeat note, this is your go-to. It is slow enough to keep you focused and attentive but upbeat enough to get you ready for the end of the power study session.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
