The UFC will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in the same city it started in at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado this weekend as #10 ranked featherweight "Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung faces the #15 ranked Ultimate Fighter: Latin America winner Yair Rodriguez in the main event. In the welterweight division "Platinum" Mike Perry takes on #12 ranked respected veteran Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in a potential fight of the night bout. Former UFC Woman's Featherweight Champion the #5 ranked Germaine De Randamie returns to the octagon to face former title challenger #4 ranked Raquel Pennington in the bantamweight division. Flyweights will clash as #3 ranked Joseph Benavidez faces the #4 ranked Ray Borg. In the woman's strawweight division Maycee Barber will take on Hannah Cifers. To open up the main card, undefeated lightweights will meet as Luis Pena takes on Michael Trinazo.
As the main card opens up former Ultimate fighter contenders will take on one another as undefeated Luis Pena faces the undefeated Michael Trinazo. The last time we saw both of these fighters was at The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale. "Violent Bob Ross" Luis Pena took on Richie Smullen and defeated him via Guillotine choke in the 1st round. Michael Trinazo took on Joe Giannetti and won the fight by split decision.
After a big win on Dana White's Contender Series Maycee "The Future" Barber gets her shot on the big stage as she makes her UFC take on Hannah "Shockwave" Cifers who is also making her debut. Maycee Barber got a huge win after she destroyed Jamie Colleen and won the fight via TKO in the 3rd round. Hannah Cifers is also coming off of a big win as she got the TKO victory over Kali Robbins in the 1st round in her last fight.
#4 ranked flyweight Ray Borg makes his return to the octagon after a minor hiatus to face #3 ranked Joseph Benavidez. The last time we saw Ray Borg in action was suppose to be at UFC 223 but was removed from the fight after an injury caused by Conor Mcgregor during the infamous bus incident. But before that took place, Ray Borg last faced Former UFC Champion, and fighter Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson for the Flyweight Championship but Ray Borg lost the fight in the 5th round by an amazing flying armbar. That was Ray Borgs 3rd loss in 8 fights. Joseph Benavidez is coming off of a split decision loss to now bantamweight fighter Sergio Pettis. Both of these gentlemen are looking to shake off both of their past losses.
#4 ranked bantamweight Raquel "Rocky" Pennington takes on the returning #5 ranked Germaine De Randamie. "Rocky" Pennington is coming off of a loss to the current UFC Woman's Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes after a brutal fight that left Raquel quitting on the stool but was finished via TKO in the 5th round. Germaine De Randamie last fought at UFC 208 in a very controversial fight but won the title via Unanimous Decision Holly Holms but ultimately vacated the belt after she was supposed to fight current UFC Woman's Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg.
In the midst of all the drama between himself and his former camp #12 ranked Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone separated himself from Jackson-Wink and is looking to shake off his most recent unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 132 and get back on the right path to break back into the top 10 rankings in the welterweight division. "Cowboy" has 1 win and 4 losses in his last 5 fights. "Platinum" Mike Perry is looking to take "Cowboy's" spot in the rankings and put the rest of the fighters in the welterweight division if he can finish Cerrone. Mike Perry is coming off of fight to remember with Paul Felder at UFC 226 where he won the fight by split decision.

"The Korean Zombie" is coming off of a 1st round knockout victory over Dennis Bermudez at UFC Fight Night 104 and is looking to shut down the returning Yair.
