Uber: A College Girls' Best Friend

The real definition of Uber: An app for your phone that allows you to request a on-demand car service with just the tap of your finger.

A college girls definition of Uber: A magical chariot that appears in the snap of a finger to pick your drunk self up.

Uber, the greatest gift given to any college student living in the 21st century. Whether you're the services number one costumer, have had the opportunity to tag along with said fan, or have just seen an Uber, we can all agree on one thing: Uber is a gift sent from above. Here are some of the many reason's every college girl loves Uber:

1. Uber understands that beauty is pain:

So you want to wear those really cute wedges that kill your feet, but don't want to walk home in them, its all good Uber understands the struggle and would never make you suffer through that. So you go girl, you wear those platform heels.

2. We are the epitome of lazy:

It's raining out? No way are you walking those four blocks to class, don't worry the Uber's already on its way.

3. We can feel like a bad ass b*tch:

I mean who doesn't feel totally empowered rolling up to a party in a flashy black SUV. It sure is better than those embarrassing yellow cabs.

4. It allows for multitasking:

So you need to get home, and also need a nap real bad. Two things that aren't possible if you're walking back from the bar. But thanks to the Uber gods you can kill two birds with one stone. So cozy up in the back seat, you'll be home in no time.

5.Free therapy sessions:

Uber drivers vow to be the friendliest of the bunch, and you take full advantage of that. You are able to fit in your entire relationship history ranging from makeups to breakups in that short 5 minute ride home. You swear that your driver gave the best advice ever and should maybe even pursue a career in counseling.

6. We love free stuff:

Share your code with your friend and you both get a free ride, yes you heard correctly, FREE. That sounds pretty idle for a broke college girl with a lavishing lifestyle.

7. You're in charge:

You call all the shots in this ride. You want to make a quick pit stop to pick up your girlfriends along the way? Sure that can be done. You want to do a McDonalds drive through at 2 am? Your drivers already placing your order. The driver runs on your schedule, your own personal chauffeur.

8. We tend to lose things:

A night at the bar usually ends in our wallet being lost. This means no AMEX or cash. Thankfully Uber operates solely through an app. So basically it's fault proof.

9. Girls love to rate and be rated:

At the end of your lovely ride you get to rate how pleasurable of an experience that was, as well as your driver gets to rate how nice of a customer you were. So make sure you don't throw up back there, and while you're at it tell him you like his style, he'll dig that.

So go ahead, download the app, you know you want to.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
