Roommates in college can either be a nightmare or a dream come true! Luckily for these two ladies, it worked out in their favor. With plenty of eligible UA Bachelorettes around campus, this week, I would like to introduce you to Carly and Elena! I asked them some questions and I think you'll want to see their answers!

Carly Noel

Hometown: Hebron, Kentucky

Major: Public Relations

Age: 19

Elena Cassinelli

Hometown: Cincinnati, OH

Major: Criminal Justice

Age: 18

1. Thoughts on Tinder?

Carly: I’m not too much of a Tinder girl. It’s fun every once in a while, not gonna lie, but definitely not the place to actually meet a guy. I would actually be terrified to ever meet up with a stranger on there. I mean have you ever heard of a real life Tinder love story? They don’t exist. The messages that you get are pretty entertaining, though.

Elena: To be completely honest, Tinder kind of freaks me out. I downloaded it once as a joke with my friends and, not surprisingly, it didn’t work out too well although it was some great entertainment. Maybe trying it on a college campus would be a better idea than doing it at home in a big city. LOL!

2. Describe your dream guy!

Carly: I don’t really have a type when it comes to guys. But I guess my dream guy would be a tall and strong man with dark hair. A little scruff would be nice. Someone who can make me laugh…. Somebody who has goals and is motivated. A guy who is fun and isn’t going to be lame when he gets old. I need a man who wants to live a fun and fulfilling life until he dies (responsible tho!!!) Oh and someone who wants to travel the world and do adventurous stuff that we can tell our kids about.

Elena: It’s really hard to say what my dream guy would be because I don’t (like to limit myself to only one “type” of guy) really like only certain types of guys. My dream guy would not only have to be smart and confident in himself but also genuinely down to earth. Also, he definitely has to be funny and silly because I love to be sarcastic! Of course, he has to have a great smile because I’m a sucker for that (Dad is an Orthodontist lol)! Tall, tan, and handsome would be a nice plus… Oh, and I can't forget to mention that some facial hair would be nice, but I’m not set and stone in that. Preferably someone from below the Mason-Dixon Line. Most importantly, the perfect guy for me will have to have a love for tacos just like me!

3. Tell me what your ideal date would be?

Carly: My ideal date would be a candlelight dinner over a Cookout tray. I honestly can’t think of anything better than sharing love over a quesadilla, corndog, milkshake, and chicken nuggets for only 4.99.

Elena: My ideal date would be getting picked up in the morning and going to a nice brunch along the river. After eating a stack of pancakes, we’d head to the Tuscaloosa Animal Shelter to rent a dog for the day because I’m extremely pet deprived since I’m so far away from home. We ‘d spend a few hours playing around with the dog just having fun and enjoying the day. As the sun starts to set, we would drop the dog off and head back to one of our houses to make a yummy pasta dinner. Of course, we’d cook together even if neither of us knew how to make the food and knowing me, we’d probably get in a pasta throwing fight because hey, why not? After eating a perfect Italian meal and cleaning up, we’d head out to a field and lie down in the bed of his truck (or mine if he didn’t have one) to gaze at the stars and just talk.

4. Why haven't you found love yet?

Carly: I haven’t found a guy yet that I could see a future with. I refuse to settle for anybody and am extremely picky, so I’m content with waiting until he comes around.

Elena: I haven’t found the perfect boy yet and I’ve only had a little bit of time here at UA so far to check out my options.

5. It's a Friday night, where are you heading?

Carly: Friday night… I’m most likely at Rounders with every other student at the University. I can’t tell you exactly where I would be during the night, but I can tell you there is 99 percent chance I’m ending up at Quick Grill.

Elena: On a Friday night, you can almost definitely find me in the “Boom Boom” room of Rounder’s with my best friends trying to get into the VIP section. Sorry, mom if you’re reading this… I know I should be studying.

6. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Carly: If I could travel anywhere, it would definitely be Greece. I’ve been to many different places in Europe, but never Greece. I love the beach, the sand, and water in Greece it looks beautiful. Not to mention I love Greek food. I’m a regular at Glory Bound so I can’t even imagine how great the food there would be. Plus I’ve heard good things about Greek boys.

Elena: Although I’m a huge fan of the Caribbean and the beach, I would, without a doubt, book my flight to Italy. Two years ago, I went with my family and immediately fell in love with the Italian people and culture. There was just something about the food and the warmth that I felt everywhere we went that made me love the place so much. Let’s just say if I somehow lost my passport while traveling there, I wouldn’t be that upset. But still, God bless the USA.

7. Biggest pet peeve?

Carly: My biggest pet peeve is when people are late. I HATE when people are late… if you make a commitment to be somewhere, be on time?! It’s not that hard, people.

Elena: When people bring up Harambe every time they hear that I’m from Cincinnati. No, I didn’t know him personally. And yes, I have been asked that many times.

8. Why did you choose UA?

Carly: I came to UA because it’s the best school in the nation? Football isn’t that big where I’m from, and I love the football atmosphere down here. Also, I was tired of the cold and snow and needed to go down south. The Academics. The social life. Taco Mama definitely had a bit of an influence in this decision. The University of Alabama just does everything right. Who wouldn’t wanna go here?

Elena: There are a lot of reasons that I chose to come to Alabama. When choosing a college, I knew I wanted to go far away and explore the world on my own. Also, who couldn’t love the south…? Alabama was by far the prettiest school that I visited and how could you not want to be a student at a school with the best football team in the nation? Exactly. Roll Tide!

Well, boys there you have it! Two young taco-loving girls looking for men to enjoy some Cookout, star-gazing, and share a love for the greatest school in the nation. Be sure to make them yours, before someone else sweeps them off their feet!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

153837

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
