Making friends is one of the most important aspects of college because they can make it seem like home. They tend to make your life at college happier and more enjoyable. It’s especially relevant to know that you have someone who cares about you. Having someone who cares about you in an unfamiliar place is an important thing to have.
College can be rough sometimes, and your friends are the ones you need the most. There are times when you just don’t want to be alone, and the best friend you made here is the only one you want around you. You have to learn that your family can't always be here for you, and friendships are the things that matter most.
Starting college is always rough, especially when you aren’t from the area and most people aren’t. Building new friendships is a necessity in order to keep you sane. Friends are here to help you through anything and everything that may happen.
Most important is the friend that’s there for you when boys let you down. They'll be there, bringing you ice cream at 2 a.m. and being there in the end. They will always have your back, and they won't leave you like a guy might.
A critical thing about college is that girl bond. Girls' night is a meaningful aspect in college. Having that stress reliever where you can just vent about anything is important to have in your life. But, I mean, guys need their man nights as well.
It's very important in college to have happy and content people around you. The people you surround yourself with influence who you are as a person. They are the ones who help you make decisions when sometimes things are just too much for you to handle. They are meant to make you happy and keep you company when you just want someone there.
Being a good friend is also important to keep in mind; you have to be there for your friends as well. You have to be there when they need you. Any time a boy may let them down you have to be there with hot chocolate at any hour of the day. Being a good friend is crucial to keeping your friendships strong.
I would like to thank all the friends that I have made for being there for me through all my hard times. You are all very important to me and mean the world to me. I would like to especially thank my best friend, Sydney Bucklin, for being here for me through everything that I have experienced here. You know me better than anyone, and I appreciate you always having my back in every situation. I don’t know how I would have gotten through my first week of college without you being there to help me make my decisions.
