Whether we like to acknowledge it or not, we were all kids once. At that age, though, we as children don't realize the impact we have on the people in our lives. Whether you're a parent, a sibling, a family member, a babysitter, a teacher, or a coach, you can learn so many new things from interacting with children. I, as a former teacher at a daycare, a babysitter, a coach for children, and a big cousin, have been impacted by every kid I have spent time with. The things I have learned are endless, but here are just a few.
1. How to learn.
2. How to be curious and ask questions.
3. How to see the beauty in everything.
4. The beauty of innocence.
5. How to care a little less.
6. How to express yourself.
7. How to love yourself.
8. How to be friendly.
9. How to be accepting.
10. How to be honest (sometimes brutally honest).
11. How to forgive and forget.
12. How to believe.
13. How to slow down and stop rushing through life.
14. How to be spontaneous.
15. How to dream big.
16. How to use your imagination.
17. How to enjoy all of the little things.
18. That it's okay to cry sometimes.
19. The importance of laughing.
20. How to love unconditionally.
The next time you are with a child, think about all of the beauty they hold and lessons they can teach you.
