School's out. And although we may not love classes as much as Rory did, it's still an adjustment to be home after two semesters away at college. Here are 12 times that "Gilmore Girls" summed up our summers.
1. Dealing with your new-found caffeine addiction.
So what you used to drink 7 cups a day and now you don't? You'll be fine... right?
2. Realizing that everyday is like a Saturday
No more 8 a.m. lectures, no more early morning presentations. Sleeping in is a thing of your future.
3. Going 2-3 months without your closest friends is hard.
It's hard to go from living with someone for months on end to not seeing them at all
4. So you have to remind them constantly that you love them, even when you don't see them.
You promise to keep in touch, you snapchat and skype and facebook all the time. Anything to keep in touch during the dark months of summer.
5. That moment when you do something insane because your bored.
Whether it's climbing a mountain, exploring abandoned buildings, getting spontaneous tattoos and piercings... summer time is a time for adventure.
6. When the internet starts annoying you because it isn't face-to-face interaction.
Sometimes you just need to shut off your phone and close your laptop, the world is out there waiting for you.
7. Slowly noticing that you are falling apart.
So what if you forgot your bra today or didn't eat anything other than Nutella? You woke up and I promise that is enough.
8.Waking up at an early time because your body never really adjusted.
So you woke up at 6 a.m. Maybe that's a sign to get something done... or maybe just cocoon up in your blankets and sleep a few more hours.
9. Eating so much more food because it's something to do.
I ate an entire party tray pizza and 20 wings. While watching movies In one night. #lifestyle
10. Recognizing that you need to do something before you gain more weight than money.
Eating that pizza is nice every once in a while, but we also need to do things that build us up and better us.
11.Taking on a summer job to fill the void.
Whether it's a camp counselor, selling pizza at the joint in town, or even being a cashier... having more money in your pocket before going back to school is always nice.
12. When you finally adjust to summer and then realize that school starts in a few weeks
So maybe you wasted your summer eating and watching movies... I believe that makes you more cultured in that area. Keep being you, boo. Summer only comes once a year.
