It’s finally here. The night before the concert that my best friend and I have been waiting what seems like forever to see. On November 12th, 2016, my friend Audrey and I are attending The 1975 concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We bought these tickets back in July and it’s just now hitting us, the night before, that we are seeing one of our favorite bands. As we are preparing for this unforgettable experience we are about to endure, there is bound to be some speed bumps in the way.

We had a whole list of things to do the night before, and because we are college students, we procrastinate. There is nothing worse on the eve before a concert than to be behind on all the things you have to do. Audrey was scheduled to come pick me up right after work at 5:30 p.m. Did that end up happening? I think you can guess the answer. My Friday turned into writing papers and completing assignments that were due over the weekend, which delayed our schedule by a tremendous amount.

Instead of being caught up in the moment and being so incredibly excited to see this concert, I was too worried about all of my schoolwork and that ended up turning into a little bit of a downer for both of us. However, I ended up getting everything done, and we both started to get so hype for the unbelievable musicians that will grace our presence in less than 24 hours.

At this very moment, it is two minutes until what is about to be one of the greatest days of our lives, and someone would have to pay me “M.O.N.E.Y” to attend this concert with “Somebody Else.”

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
