Well, it's that time of year again: Summer. Gone is the the stress of homework, finals, and begging your professors to round that 79.5 up to an 80. Besides work, pool days, lake days, and beach days will consumer your free time. You couldn't be happier that you can finally spend time soaking up the sun instead of imprisoned in the library cramming for your exams. But this means that you must have that beach bod ready. While you were in the library, you may not have seen the light of day but you probably didn't see the gym either. And let's not even get started on the topic of stress eating.
You've got some work to do, and these are probably the phases you go through on your way to getting that dream beach bod.
1. Just looked in the mirror and realized what I've become.

2. When did I go up a jean size?

3. I'll go for a run.

4. Okay I worked out, so why don't I look skinnier yet?

5. Why is this so hard?
![]()
6. Hell yeah, I lost a pound!

7. I deserve a reward for my success.

8. Oh, I gained it back.

9. Just a minor set-back; it's okay that'll happen.

10. But I really want pizza... one bad meal won't hurt, right?
![]()
11. I regret that.

12. No matter how hard I work, I still look the same. Cool.

13. Okay another day at the gym. Good work.
![]()
14. Since I went to the gym yesterday, I don't need to go again today. Taking a rest day is good.

15. And now it's Sunday and Sundays are lazy days so I don't want to work out.
![]()
16. All I can think about is food.
![]()
17. The gym isn't fun. I don't think I want to go back there.

18. I'll just wear a t-shirt to the beach because no progress has been made here.
![]()
19. Nope I just give up. Food makes me too happy to restrict myself. Life is better this way. I accept my non-beach bod with pride.

20. Forget the haters.
