Trusting God with His Calling

Trusting God with His Calling

I would be lying if I said, "I always trust God with everything I do". It's not that I don't want to, but it's easier said than done. Creating my own blog is really out of my comfort zone. If you would have told me two weeks ago that I would be starting a blog, I would have laughed at you. I have always been passionate about writing what I have strong feelings about, but I wouldn't think I would actually be creating a blog for people to read.

So let's just jump to why and how this blog started. Every Sunday since about a year ago, I have heard a lot of key points that I feel like others need to hear. I started taking notes on my phone a few years ago, then my Mimi gave me a notebook on April 14, 2018, and I now use that to take notes. Taking notes has helped me grow in my walk with God tremendously, but it has also challenged me. Long story short, I felt God lay on my heart that I need to start a blog and talk about things people would want to read. I want people to be able to grow in their faith and get the encouragement they need by reading my posts. I don't expect a lot of people to read my blog, but I hope I can at least touch one person.

It can be hard to trust God with what He has called you to do. We are not supposed to ignore God when He calls on us. Like I said before, this is really out of my comfort zone, but I am trusting God and doing what He laid on my heart. I have been praying and I will continue to pray that God will use me in many ways. This is just the beginning of my journey. I hope you all will follow along with me. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Feel free to share and message me with any questions you might have. My email is sydneyalyssa33@gmail.com.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
