Trust and Turn To God When Life Throws You The Toughest Battles

26
Trust In God

Psalm 119:28 "My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word."

Psalm 40:31 "but those who hope in the LORDwill renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."Psalm 22:19 "But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me."

We are simply just children in the eyes of God. We are his children trying our best to live through his love, strength and guidance. Sometimes it gets tough to see that God has a purpose for everything. Your parents divorce, the person you thought was the love of your life leaving you, switching into a major that you have to work ten times harder than your peers to keep up with. It all has a purpose.

God has a greater plan for us so one day all of these obstacles will soon add up to something far greater than you thought. God is GOOD. He wouldn't put us through tough times if he didn't think we could take it. God puts his strongest soldiers up to life's toughest battles because he KNOWS we have the strength to tackle them. It may be tough to see this but if we instill trust in God and his ways we soon will have the confidence that he has for us.

I promise you once you realize that God loves you and trust in his ways then all of the stress that you have been putting on yourself will soon fade. If we trust in God then we develop hope and confidence. These two emotions are far greater in power than sulking in stress and stress will do. When we trust God and have confidence in his greater plan you soon will see it. I promise, you will soon see the reasons as to why God is putting us through tough battles. It will all make sense. I'm not saying over night you will develop this overwhelming amount of confidence. But, with time, prayer, and faith it will become easier to trust in God.

Personally, I had a very hard time trusting in Gods ways. I just did not see the greater plan and I surely couldn't understand why God was putting me through bad times after bad times. I questioned my faith and to be quite honest I did question my God. My faith was shaken when I lost that confidence in God's ways. The stresses of life took over and I was overwhelmed with sadness, doubt and confusion. It took a lot of strength to finally realize that God is putting me through all these times to make me stronger and for a better purpose. I took a lot of prayer and self-reflection to understand and trust in God's ways.

We don't always have to have it together. God didn't make us perfect. Nothing in life is perfect. But, when we trust and love in our God I assure you that you see things turn around. There is so greater power than the power of God's love. It's true, and it's real. God is great and so are you. Just trust in His ways and I promise when you take that step back and trust in God you too will see the reasons behind things happening and be instilled with great confidence.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
