"This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it."

But how do I rejoice when I feel like there is little to rejoice for? Lord teach me to rejoice in You when my heart is lost. Draw me closer when I begin to wander from your word. Bring me closer to you when I begin to lean on my own understanding. Open my eyes to your wonder when I struggle to keep faith.

Lord, I know You are good. I know You have not abandoned me. Yet, I feel alone. I feel lost. Help me find refuge in You during this storm. Help me to trust You not only at my best but also when I am at my worst. Remind me that I will not feel like this forever and that what I am facing is only temporary.

How am I supposed to be a light of your glory when everything in my life seems to be falling apart? Remind me of the story of Job when I feel abandoned. Make your presence greater when I am overwhelmed by worldly struggles. Show me that I am never alone. Drown out these lies with Your truth.

I feel like I am in an empty room and the walls are crumbling down around me. It is so easy to feel alone during times of struggle. Lord, show me I am not alone. Not only through Your presence but through my friends and family. Overwhelm me with love and support when I am drowning, and Satan is trying to find his way into my life.

Lord, I am here, on my knees, begging you to let my adversities draw me closer to You. I pray for the strength to handle any obstacle I face. I pray for the wisdom to handle it as You would. I pray for the growth that will come from this. Lord, remind me that the pain I feel today is nothing compared to the joy that awaits me. Fill every gap in my life with Your name.

I lay my pain at your feet. I leave my troubles in Your hands. Help me carry the burdens that are weighing me down because I cannot do it alone. Lord, You have already overcome the world. You have won the war. Help me to find strength in You to win the wars I face daily.

Overall, Lord, let my struggles be a testimony of Your love for us and Your glory. Remind me that everything works together for my good and allow me to share that message with those who know You already and those who do not know you yet. Lord, I abandon my body so that I can be filled with You and be a light of Your promises for us. Promises to prosper us and not to harm us.

Lord today I choose to keep my eyes fixed on You when the waters rage around me. I choose to follow You and Your plans for my life. Guide me. Walk beside me and surround me. I choose to look to You today and every day.
