Here's the deal, ladies: WE NEED TO SHOW OUR BOYFRIENDS WE LOVE THEM, TOO.
I hear a lot of women nowadays with boyfriends who are always saying how I wish he would do this, I wish he would do that. I can't believe he did this, I can't believe he did that. Well here's the deal, they need us to show them that we have their backs, too! There are so many things that can help relationships to flourish, and appreciating each other is one...as well as accepting early on that mistakes are going to be made, and forgiveness needs to be granted.
Your men need to know that you love them and only them at the end of every day. They need to know they have your support, your loyalty, and your honesty. They need you to show them in ways other than sex that you appreciate everything they do for you on a daily basis.
Because none of us are promised tomorrow with someone we love.
Take each and every day with each other like it's your last. Your boyfriend should be your best friend, your partner, the one you need and want to be next to at the end of everyday, regardless of that stupid fight you had this morning.
Men need as much reassurance as we ladies do. It's important that we make them feel wanted just as they do us. Our men need to know that nothing they do goes unnoticed.
We need the man in our life to know these things because one day, when we are old and wrinkly, sitting next to each other on the porch of the home we lived in for the past 50 years, the place where we raised our kids, we might look at each other for the last time. We might breathe our last breath. It might be the last time we ever get to tell them we love them.
So rather than waiting until the days when it could be too late, tell them now. Tell them each and everyday just how important they are to you. Just how much that one time he brought you flowers for no reason meant. Because just like us, they are trying their damnedest to make us happy everyday and live with our sometimes crazy asses.
And ladies, we all know that sometimes we are a breed of our own, and by no means easy to please, let alone live with.
So this is why we need to appreciate everything they do for us. True love only comes around once in a lifetime in my opinion. And when you find that one person, you don't ever want to lose them. That is the person you're going to wake up to for the rest of your life. The person you're going to have your children with, if that's your choice of course. This is the person that you're going to share the rest of every aspect of your life with. So you've gotta put just as much effort into them as they do you. Accept their flaws, just as they do yours. And you might wanna just accept the fact that morning breath is going to be a thing for the rest of your lives together.
But really ladies, it comes down to respecting each other, recognizing that you both have needs, and working together each day to try and fill those needs, and knowing that regardless of the crazy things life throws our way, that our man is the one we want standing beside us, without a doubt in our mind, and they need to know we feel that way.
