Long summer days and hot summer nights are meant to be filled with three things: cold drinks, cute boys, and good music. While we can't help you out with either of the first two, the third we've got you covered. Read on for the top remixes for your next pool party or beach trip:

1. Ed Sheeran- Photograph (Felix Jaehn Remix)

This remix is perfect for the getting ready part of your day, finding that most adorable bikini and going prancing down to the beach with all your besties.

2. Vance Joy- Riptide (FlicFlac edit)

This is the top down in your Jeep, wind in your hair song you can jam to, dance to, and play in your head all day because that's where it will stay.

3. Zac Brown Band feat. Jimmy Buffett - Knee Deep (Bobby Brush Remix)

Pour yourself a beer and stick your toes in the sand, this remix is just what you need to get a great day at the beach kicked off.

4. Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over The Rainbow (Thomas Jack Remix)

A tropical twist on the classic we all love to sing. The upbeat song pushes sunshine through your headphones until you can't help but smile.

5. Imagine Dragons- It's Time (Matoma Tropical Remix)

The perfect cool down song for when you're fresh out of the pool or relaxing and tanning, slip in your headphones and feel the sunshine.

6. Lana Del Rey- West Coast (Stint Remix)

This remix is a dance around in the outdoor shower kind of song that will keep your foot tapping through your skinny dip later. Blast it loud and sing along, there is no other way.

7. Aaron Smith - Dancin (KRONO Remix)

The greatest dance tune I've heard this week: play it at the next bonfire to get everyone on their feet.

8. Dom Rosenfeld & ENZ - Something About You

This fun song will have you swaying side to side on the boat while you work on your tan.

Go take a listen and comment below with your favorite summer remixes!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
