TV Guide

"One Tree Hill" is known for a lot of things- it's romantic love stories, it's amazing music, selection, the close-knit cast, and the inspiring quotes. This show was affected me in so many ways because of its lessons and the overall magic the show has. Here are some of the best quotes to ever come from "One Tree Hill."

1. "Stand up for what you believe in. The truth matters, so tell it, no matter what." - Haley James Scott.

2. "Life kicks you around sometimes. It scares you and it beats you up. But there's one day when you realize you're not just a survivor, you're a warrior. You're tougher than anything life throws your way." - Brooke Davis

3. "There's no shame being afraid. Hell, we're all afraid. What you gotta do is figure out what you're afraid of, because when you put a face on it, you can beat it. Better yet, you can use it." -Coach Whitey Durham

4. "The rest of your life is being shaped right now. With the dreams you chase, the choices you make, and the person you decide to be. The rest of your life is a long time. And the rest of your life starts right now." - Haley James Scott

5. "It's not about who I am. It's about who they are. They are people who hate, and they divide, and they feed off people who don't fight back. I could laugh this off, but what about the girl who can't? Who's gonna help her? Silence only makes them stronger." -Peyton Sawyer

6. "It's the oldest story in the world. One day you're seventeen and planning for some day. And then quietly, and without you ever really noticing, some today is today. Then some day is yesterday. And this is your life." -Nathan Scott

7. "Happiness is not a destination. It's a mood. It's not permanent. It comes and goes and if people thought that way, then maybe people would find happiness more often." - Julian Baker.

8. "When your heart breaks, you gotta fight like hell to make sure you're still alive. Because you are. And that pain you feel? That's life. The confusion and fear? That's there to remind you, that somewhere out there is something better, and that something is worth fighting for." - Nathan Scott

9. "If you had a friend you knew you'd never see again, what would you say? If you could do one last thing for someone you love, what would it be? Say it, do it, don't wait. Nothing lasts forever." -Brooke Davis

10. "People are going to label you. It's how you overcome those labels, that's what matters." -Chase Adams

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
