Contrary to popular belief, you should spend the money that you have while you can! Here are four reasons why you should spend money as you like while you can:
1. You can't take it with you.
When your life on earth is over, the money that you earned while on earth won't go with you so you might as well spend it and enjoy it while you're alive.
2. You can see neat places.
Spending money on travel allows you to experience a wide variety of both scenery and culture. If you don't spend money on travel, you will miss seeing different places and different things.
3. You can experience cool events.
Spending money on concerts, festivals, sporting events, etc. allows you to take in things that are near and dear to your interests, which is an experience you can't get through the television.
4. Priorities change. And so does the way that money is spent.
Spending money while you're young on things that you want to do, see, or have is a good idea because at some point in most everyone's life finances will become shared with a spouse and most often children.
Spending money while you're young on the things that you want to do is a good idea for several reasons as listed above. This shouldn't encourage you to completely neglect saving and planning for the future, but it should discourage you from hoarding your money during you early years.
