Traveling Without Intention

A traveler has no set plans and no intention on arriving anywhere–the traveler simply goes where their feet take them.

The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.
Eleanor Roosevelt

Have you ever been so in love with life, that you forget what it's like to actually live? You become so enticed by the everyday motion of time that you ignore the world around you. You think, "Oh, it's just another day," but the reality is that each and every brightly-lit morning is given to us by a great God to do great things with.

Why are we so afraid to travel?

Why are we so afraid to take risks?

Why are we so scared of what the world can do to us?

God is all-powerful, all-loving and will never leave us to live a life of suffering. With God we are unstoppable, and within us lives the power which raised Christ from the dead. We should never fear that which cannot harm us permanently.

So long as God is with us, we must never fear a thing. These anxieties and worries are nothing compared to what God can do for us when we give our lives to Christ. Travel the world, take that risk and never be afraid of what the world can do to you, because God will do more for you than you could possibly imagine.

Each new day is a gift. A gift we should all use to love in all the ways that love can be shown. No, it is not "just another day," it is a brand new day with brand new opportunities.

For me, these opportunities have awoken my heart to traveling the world, and I intend to do just that. I will hold no intention on my destination, or even any plans of where to go. All I know is that I will keep my faith and trust in Jesus, who will guide me and lead me where I need to be. I may not know where I'm going, but I promise you I'm going to go there.

For it is said that a good traveler has no set plans and has no intention on arriving at a destination–the traveler simply goes where their feet take them. I am a traveler. And I do not plan on spending this book of life reading the same page. I wish to turn my pages and see the world through all new eyes.

Leave the world behind you. Become who it is you feel called to be. Whether that's an insurance broker in a small, suburban, East coast city, a struggling actor dwelling in the City of Angels, or a missionary in foreign fields. Go there. Be there. And love wherever you journey. You have been given the breath of life and shown a love that can make anything possible. When the world is conspiring against you and tearing you down, just remember that it is better to have felt love for a moment than to experience nothing at all for an eternity.

Travel without any intention. Journey without any limitation. Adventure as though your strangest imaginations could be real and never rest until those imaginations become reality. Never settle for anything less than an extraordinary life. Travel without intention.

Today is the day in which I take on the world by the wind in my sails. I will strive forward into the current, and break through the waves which strike my bow. No worry, no risk and no fear will ever take my faith from me. I sail onward toward that single northern light which marks the treasure of my life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
