As humans, our lives are constantly changing. These times are called transitions. Transitions are full of so much uncertainty, and can be scary. They are inevitable and bittersweet. Yet, they are full of so much joy and promise. Throughout this time you can gain so much knowledge from the growth that will take place. Right now, I am transitioning into a whole new lifestyle. I'm starting a new chapter of my life in a new city with new people. I know for myself along with many of my friends going to college is truly going to be a life changing experience. So many of us are worried about leaving behind the life we have grown to love, and fear can easily overcome us. A friend of mine shared this in her blog, and it was a wonderful reminder to me as I hope it will be to you as well: "Cast your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7. This brings me peace to know that God will always be behind me no matter what the circumstance. Having support from your family and friends is crucial. The encouragement and love from them will help you find your way. Just remember it's okay to cry. Just let it all out (it will make you feel better), because transitions can be very emotional phases. Lynn Cowell says, "God can make us brave whether our lives are coming together or falling apart." Everyone faces a turning point in his or her life, which will change your "norm". Whether it be starting down a new career path, losing a loved one, starting your senior year of high school, aging, marriage, or like me starting college. I believe that everyone has a calling. A calling that you are destined to fulfill while on this earth. The transitions we face in life can help lead us to this calling. So that one day we can fulfill it, help ourselves grow as an individual, and impact others more than we could ever possibly imagine. During the many transitions in your life, remember they are what you make of them. These opportunities can bring you hope and a future. They can be stressful, or not stressful at all. It all depends on if you let God take control and if you just sit back and enjoy the ride. I hope you interpret all the many situations life throws at you with an optimistic focal point. View it as a challenge, but appreciate the benefits it will bring you. Whenever you face a big or little transition in your life I hope you take these factors to heart, and remember these moments because they will always hold a special place in your life memories.
"Sometimes God brings us transition to create transformations." –Lynn Cowell
