Last weekend, Baylor's Pi Kappa Phi embarked on their annual formal with their dates and decorated coolers in tow. Gearing up for what was sure to be a great weekend, I don't think anyone expected to receive national recognition just for a picture of the daytime festivities.
Total Frat Move, the popular social media brand, posted the boat picture from Austin's Lake Travis that was sent in to them by one of the members to their 481,000 followers. Captioned "day ragers on the sea. #TFM," the picture has received 19,530 likes and 388 comments in the first 21 hours alone. For Baylor and Pi Kapp, it is great to be acknowledged on a public platform, as I'm sure it could easily generate interest in our school as well as the fraternity. The members were, of course, excited about making it on Total Frat Move. Many actually posted screenshots of the post to their personal Instagrams with captions like, "an amazing formal capped off with some national recognition" and "chapter BARGED its way onto Total Frat Move. Freshman college goals achieved. #TFM."
I also had the privilege of going to their formal as a date. That's me on the raft with my back to the camera. Famous, right? I decided to ask some of the members and their dates about their thoughts on making it on TFM.
Here's what they had to say:
"It was a pleasant surprise to see chapter on TFM, and it made everything we worked for this semester well worth it."
"Nothing beats a beautiful day on the lake with your brothers!"
"It definitely was cool to see a lot of people in the comments posting about how awesome it looked."
