Top 10 Reasons I Love The Fall

Fall is a favorite time for a lot of people. It's football season, and the time for hoodies, boots and bonfires makes it a special time of year. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year, for many reasons. But here are my solid top ten reasons why I love the fall.

1. Warm Clothes.

Hoodies, Sweaters and Jeans. The wonderful things about fall are plentiful in the arena of clothing. I absolutely love fall because I get to break out my favorite warm and fuzzy clothes and bundle up.

2. Bonfires.

Bonfires are also one of my favorite things about fall. After bundling in my favorite sweater I love going out with friends to a big bonfire and dancing the night away.

3. Salted Caramel Lattes.

Some prefer the pumpkin spice but for me I absolutely love a salted caramel latte. Sweet and salty and just enough caffeine to keep me going for a late night of homework. A salted caramel latte is by far my favorite fall drink.

4. Pretty Colors.

The deep colors of the leaves as they change are simply just pleasing to look at. I love to take pictures in the fall with the beautiful trees and watching the leaves blow in the wind is so relaxing.

5. Cooler Weather.

Cooler weather allows for lots of things. The cool weather means you can wear your favorite sweaters, bundle up in warm blankets and do all sorts of other fun stuff that you can't do when its hot.

6. Hot Chocolate.

Hot chocolate is another one of my favorite drinks that you can really only get in the fall. Its great to sit down in the evenings with a good book and a big mug of hot chocolate.

7. Scarves.

Scarves are my favorite fall accessory. They pretty much go with every outfit and they come in so many different styles and colors that its impossible to own them all. From infinity scarves to long billowing ones there are all kinds and they are all wonderful.

8. Holidays.

From Halloween to Thanksgiving and Christmas the fall is the time not only for great weather but for time spent with close family. Fall is a great time for families to get together and celebrate the year.

9. Football.

Fall is football season! Whatever team you root for football is a fun activity to do on the weekends that only happens in the fall. Football season means cook-outs, tailgates and lots of time spent with friends.

10. Cross Country.

By far my favorite reason to love the fall is that the fall season means its cross country season! I love being with my teammates and competing in races through the entire fall. Cross country is my favorite sport and I look forward to the fall because I know that means I get to put on my running shoes and do what I love the most!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
