Aquarius season is in full swing, and it's time to show our fellow water-bearers some love! From one Aquarius to another, here's a list of the top ten things that make our sign so lovable:

1. They're unconventional

Aquarians are known for being the most unique of the zodiac signs, and it shows in their interests and outlook on life. They tend to think (and act) outside of the box, so dating or befriending an Aquarius means there’s never a dull moment in your relationship.

2. They're loyal

Aquarians are air signs, so they have a reputation for being cool and detached. So you know that if an Aquarius likes you, that means they really like you. They tend not to get close to people quickly, but once you’re in their inner circle, they’re the most loyal friends you could ever ask for. If an Aquarius wants to date you, it’s basically a guarantee they’re gonna stick around.

3. They're fierce

If you ever need backup, call a water-bearer. Aquarians are not only fiercely loyal friends, they’re fierce and terrifying enemies. If someone’s done you wrong you can always count on your Aquarius BFF to go from 0 to savage at a moment’s notice.

4. They're independent

If you’re looking for a go-getter who knows what they want out of life, look no further than this air sign. Aquarians tend to be dedicated to their careers and are constantly focused on self-improvement.

5. They're optimists

Aquarians are humanitarians by nature, so it makes sense that they’d want to see the best in everyone. They’re always looking on the bright side of life and are quick to cheer you up when you need it. They hand out compliments to strangers just because they like the idea of making someone’s day, and they’ll be the first to help you get back on your feet when you’re feeling down.

6. ... But they also have a bit of a dark side

Remember when I said Aquarians are the quirkiest of the signs? That shows in their interests. Your friend that loves conspiracy theories, murder mysteries, aliens and horror films? Probably an Aquarius. So if you’re looking for someone to binge watch those true crime shows with, call your water-bearer BFF.

7. They're intellectuals

Aquarians don’t really “do” small talk. They are natural-born problem solvers and love to learn, so be prepared for philosophical conversations.

8. They'll keep you on your toes

Aquarians are constantly trying new things and experimenting, so don’t be surprised if your Aquarius friend or S.O. suddenly has a wild new look or takes up an unusual hobby. The upside to this is that if you can keep up, they’ll happily take you along on their adventures and help you build new experiences.

9. They're altruistic

Aquarians are deeply concerned with issues of social justice and the well-being of others. They fight hard for what they believe in and love to give back. Toni Morrison, Susan B. Anthony, and Rosa Parks are all Aquarians. So if you’re looking for a friend to bring along to the next march or protest, Aquarius is your go-to.

10. They're fashionable

They tend to be ahead of trends, and bright colors, statement jewelry, and killer heels are all staples of an Aquarian fashionista’s wardrobe. That’s not to say they don’t love their comfy sweats just as much though.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
