The cold weather is definitely taking it's time to come and stay here in Texas. However, it is starting to get a little cooler outside, which means that everyone is getting more excited about sweater weather finally arriving. Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons. It's cooler so you're not dying in the Texas heat, but you're not completely freezing either. Plus there is all the warm colors, leggings as pants, giant sweaters, it's the coziest time of the year. So, here are some of my favorite fall fashion essentials to keep cozy and warm during the fall season.

1. Booties

Booties are my new obsession at the moment. I want every pair, in every color, in every style. There's peep-toed or closed-toed, and they are the perfect addition to any fall outfit.

2. Scarves

I've always had a love/hate relationship with scarves, but they can add so much character and color to an outfit. You just have to make sure you choose the right type of scarf for the right occasion. I always make that mistake of wanting to wear one because it will look cute, but then it's way too thick for the weather and I end up melting.

3. Flannels

Flannels seem to have been very popular this year, which I don't mind at all. They also come in so many different colors, so it makes it easy to mix and match with what you're wearing. You can wear them around your waist for an edgier look or if you get cold, boom, instant cozy warmth.

4. Leggings

Getting to wear leggings as pants might be the greatest thing in the world. However, just make sure it looks classy. Yes you can wear them as pants, but don't please abuse it. Cover your booty up just a little at least, and you'll be good to go.

5. Fall colors

Warm, fall colors are some of my favorites. I know I've been using the word cozy a lot, but it's so true for this season, and the fall colors contribute so much to all of it.

6. Sweaters

Sweater weather is real and it's amazing. Who wouldn't love getting to wear giant, comfy sweaters all day?

7. Socks

There are so many different types and colors of socks that I couldn't narrow it down. Especially if you're wearing boots or booties, socks can compliment any outfit for any occasion. There an endless amount of mixing and matching you can do when it comes to socks.

8. Jackets

There are so many ways to go when it comes to jackets. They add so much character and, I for one, love a layered outfit.

9. Jeans

Jeans are just so classic and timeless, so of course they're another one of my favorites. Dress them up or down and they can go with just about everything.

10. Vests

Vests can also add a little character and uniqueness to an outfit. There's plenty of different styles of vests too. There's faux fur, puffer vests, hooded, sherpa, the list goes on and on. Plus, it's another layer to add to an outfit, which is a plus.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
