Like a lot of single girls on a Saturday night, you can find me hanging out with my roommates, snacking on the couch, surrounded by blankets and watching a movie. And if you’re anything like me, you usually can’t keep your emotions together and have to reach for a tissue, or five, just because you are moved to tears, or sobs, by love. One of my favorite discussions among my group of friends is: Which chick flick couple is the best? So, I decided to share my picks for top ten couple goals.
***Note: Possible Spoilers Ahead***
10. Baby and Johnny, "Dirty Dancing"

9. Johnny and Kat, "10 Things I hate About You"
Why they are #Goals: Aside from the intense banter and what a perfect fit K and J are, it’s the amazing display of affection Johnny pulls off that is completely awe- inspiring. I’m not going to lie, I wanted the pep band to play “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” in front of my team while my boyfriend serenaded me on the bleachers. Needless to say, it didn’t happen.
8. Jonathan and Sarah, "Serendipity"
Why they are #Goals: This movie, for me, made the cut simply for nostalgia purposes. This was the first romantic comedy I remember watching and actually shedding a tear over. It makes you believe in the power of love and destiny, even though life doesn’t always work out that way.
7. Diane and Lloyd, "Say Anything"
Why they are #Goals: Come on, what girl doesn’t want a boy to play her song outside of her window at night just to prove that love is worth fighting for, and of course, that she is thought of in the best way. As someone once told me, “Some girls are worth standing outside the window for."
6. Annie and Sam, "Sleepless in Seattle"
Why they are #Goals: Because sometimes you just have to meet that stranger at the top of the Empire State Building. *Cue Swoon*
5. Thomas and Vada, "My Girl"
Why they are #Goals: This was the age of the cute Macaulay Culkin, and of course, this couple reminds us of how sweet and innocent first love can be, especially when you’re eleven and are just learning that boys aren’t all that bad.
4. Amanda and Dawson, "The Best of Me"
Why they are #Goals: This movie makes me cry every time — and by cry I mean sob uncontrollably. I mean, Dawson literally waited for Amanda to come back to him, never stopped loving her and if that wasn’t enough, his heart ended up saving her son’s life. *Wipes Away Tears*
3. Henry and Julia, "The Wedding Singer"
Why they are #Goals: Not only is Henry hilarious and an amazing singer, but he walks onto a plane to profess his love to Julia. I mean, if that isn’t #goals I don’t know what is.
2. Andrew and Margaret, "The Proposal"
Why they are #Goals: I mean besides the fact that Ryan Reynolds is a perfect human being, it is Andrew and Margaret’s dynamic — that push and pull — is what makes them special. They compliment each other, push each other’s buttons and most importantly, support each other. Isn’t that what anyone wants?
1. Allie and Noah, "The Notebook"
Why they are #Goals: Ryan. Gosling. Is. Bae. Need I say more?
