Top Movies Of Summer 2015

The movies are a great escape from the sauna that is more commonly known as the outdoors. With all the summer blockbusters that are currently out, here are the ones that you actually should spend your money seeing.

1. Aloha

Academy Award-nominated writer Cameron Crowe is back with a movie that is heartfelt and enjoyable. It may not be winning any Academy Awards soon, but it is worth the money to go see it.

2. Inside Out

In 1995, Pixar gave toys feelings, and in 2015, they gave feelings feelings, and they did a dang good job at it. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you're missing out. Embrace your inner child and go see this movie.

3. Magic Mike XXL

I could try and write something about how great the plot is, but no one is actually going to watch this movie for the plot.

4. Jurassic World

The fourth installment of the "Jurassic Park" franchise had the entire world going crazy at the beginning of the summer. It's worth the money and if the plot isn't enough to get you to see it, just remember that Chris Pratt is one of the main stars.

5. Paper Towns

One year after the success of "The Fault in Our Stars," another one of John Green's novels has inspired a film adaption. "Paper Towns" is the end-of-summer teenage adventure story that you are looking for. If this movie is anything like the book, it should be one hell of a show.

6. Trainwreck

Amy Schumer makes her big screen debut in what may be the movie of the summer. Go see this movie. If you are choosing one movie from this list to see, it should be this one. Not only is the casting perfect, but the jokes will have you ugly laughing in no time.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
