Essential oils have become quite the trend these days. With recent family health issues and research completed, my family and I switched over to using them daily instead of typical beauty products, cleaners, and natural medicines and many other options. I have tried a variety of brands and I have found that the best value and most natural brand of essential oils that I have found is Young Living.

One must be careful with essential oils because some are not sold 100% natural and have addedchemicals and fillers inside as well. Young Living is 100% therapeutic organic oil that is purely the oil from plants.

Essential oils are very powerful and if used with care they will last a decent amount of time depending on how often you used them. In each regular bottle you can get about 250 uses (250 drops). I have listed below my top essential oils that I use in my daily routine and some tips on how to use them.

Lavender

Lavender is my all-time favorite. It is so fresh and calm smelling. You can wear this as a perfume to reduce anxiety. This oil is ahelpful way to naturally fall asleep. This one is also good for cleaning and using as an ointment for scrapes and cuts.

Stress Away

Is a perfect blend of oils for those of you with any type of anxiety and stress. It is a blend of citiris oils and lavender.

Lemon

Is a great natural cleaner for your house; a little bit of this mixed with water goes a long way. It can also be used for a cleanser. Put it in a glass of water and drink it daily. The most popular use giving yourself highlights. Put a couple drops in a spray bottle and spray your hair before you go out in the sun.Caution: lemon essential oil is extremely powerful and is a natural bleacher.

Grape Fruit

Using this essential oil is a good way to detox. you could add itto your water or freshen up a smoothie. Grape fruit essential oil is very refreshing tasting and a natural metabolism booster that cleanses your stomach.

Thieves

Is the perfect blend of clove, cinnamon, pine and about other essential oils. This is a natural medicine that you can ingest when you are getting sick. It is known to stop a cold in its footsteps. When you have asore throat, Thieves is the perfect remedy to spray in the back of you throat to numb the burning sensation of sickness. It is overall one of my favorite smells and has endless benefits. It is a good diffuser to use during the December holidays. Perfect for a DIY house cleaner and soap replacer. Caution: this is a hot oil and should never be applied to you skin alone. Keep out of the sensitive areas of your body.

Peppermint

This is a very refreshing smell and great for bad breath. Simply get a closed container and mix a few drops with a couple cups of water. It is also a natural cure for migraines and head aches, mix a drop with coconut oil and rub on temples. You can also drink a class of peppermint oil and water to get rid of a stomach ache. Bugs hate the smell of peppermint so you can make a bug repellent as well. Caution: this is a hot oil and should never be applied to you skin alone. Keep out of the sensitive areas of your body.

Frankincense

This is the most fascinating essential oil. My grandfather ingested this daily for few months and his cancer mysteriously disappeared when he was told before that he had less than six months to live. This is a natural oil to be mixed with coconut oil and used as a face screen, as it is a natural de-wrinkler and stretch mark reducer.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
