Top 9 Gift Ideas For Your Guy
I'm Bringing Blogging Back

Alright ladies, listen up. Christmas is here, and you are searching for the perfect gift for your boyfriend. I'll admit; it is a difficult task. I don't know about you, but when I ask my fiancé what he wants for the holidays, the answer is almost always "nothing." So I have compiled a list of things that you can get any man in your life for Christmas, his birthday, etc. Everything on this list is an easy gift to let him know you care.

1. Cologne

This is by far the easiest gift to get for a man—all you have to do is find the bottle that you like the best. That's right. You. If you think it smells good, then it is something you know he will wear.

2. Clothes

This also seems simple, but choosing to buy him some clothes will also end in your favor. Is there a style that you've been hoping he'd pick up? Well, snag a shirt or a pair of jeans that you think would make him feel comfortable while also looking great.

3. Gift cards

So many people think that gift cards are a lazy way out of getting someone a gift, but men love them! Grab a card to his favorite restaurant or department store! He'll be able to save a little money during his next journey to any of the aforementioned places and can buy something he likes.

4. Electronics

If you have a little extra money to splurge on his gift, go with technology. A sleek TV, a pair of nice headphones, a portable speaker, an extra controller for his Xbox, a wrist watch, a cellphone—your guy will love it!

5. Homemade Gifts & Food

These can range anywhere from a batch of your famous chocolate chip cookies and a paper card or his favorite flavor of cake baked into the shape of a Christmas tree for dessert to his favorite meal. Save a little money and stay in for the evening to celebrate a special occasion!

6. Music

Has he been talking about some of his favorite songs he's heard on the radio? Then go ahead and burn him a CD. Creating a mix tape is a thoughtful way of presenting him with music full of your memories with each other or a list of his absolute favorite songs. If you don't feel up to the task of making a playlist, head to your nearest Walmart, Best Buy, Target, etc. and pick up a few CDs of his favorite artists.

7. Movies

Has the man in your life been talking about the newest Marvel movie? Is he dying to get a collector's edition of the trilogy of The Lord of the Rings? Purchase some films you know he loves but doesn't yet own! If you can't think of what kind of DVDs he'd enjoy, consider investing in a Netflix account for him.

8. Time

This may be a little cheesy, but he may be wishing for this most of all. Are your work schedules hectic? Do you spend most of your relationship on the phone or via email? Then call his work and your own and request a day off. He'll be surprised to learn that he doesn't have to go in to work next Tuesday, and you'll get to spend the day together.

9. Travel

Similarly to Option #4, this gift idea can get a little pricey. But if the two of you have been dreaming of spending a weekend in Martha's Vineyard or taking a trip to California, go ahead and plan it! Travelzoo.com has some incredibletravel options for as little as $199 per person...and that includes airfare, hotels, ground transportation, etc. Seriously, visit Travelzoo.com and you two will have the trip of a lifetime!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
