1. "Only Time" by Enya

I this song is about no one can tell you about your future. The song was a hit in the movie "A Day Without Rain". The Song was then tributed to the victims of 9/11. Then in November 11, 2001, on an episode of Larry King, Enya tributes the song to all the Firefighters and Police officers. The Accompaniment of voices and string always get me a little teary.

2. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day

Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong wrote this song about his father, who died of cancer. When the funeral was over Billie ran home and lock himself in his room. When his Mother knocked on his door he responded with "Wake me up when September Ends." which inspired the lyrics and the title of the song.

3. "It's over isn't it" from Steven Universe

This is the only song on this list from an animated TV show. This song is about a love confession. Pearl who is the character singing is in love with Stevens mother Rose. Rose had to give up her physical form so Steven can exist. Which in turns made Pearl very upset and she blames Steven father for why Rose is gone. This song is the most heartfelt tearjerking song in the entire show.

3. "Fix you" by Coldplay

The lead singer never stated why he wrote Fix you. During the time his father died is when he wrote the song. Before his father died this father bought a keyboard that no one touch. When his father died his plugged the board in and what came out of it was a very emotional song.

5. "Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel

This song was written after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. This song Brought the band back together after their breakup during the writing of the song. The song was added to other instruments to it during the breakup and then release to the public. Simon and Garfunkel did not know this until after the song release. I do not know what is the true meaning song but it still brings tears to my eyes.

6. "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley

Everyone knows this song from the Shrek soundtrack. The original song sounds very different from the film version. The film got the song very popular because when it was first written no one knew about it. People think that the movie wrote the song. For this list, I am going to use the movie version because it was so moving. Also, did you know this song has 80 different verses. Jeff wrote more after the film because of how popular the song became.

7. "Thinking of you" by Katy Perry

This is obviously a breakup song. Katy wrote this after one of her breakups. This song seems to have the meaning that if you are back in a relationship you cant help to think about your previous relationships. Katy wrote this song before she was famous when she used to go to open mic nights with just her guitar. Katy even said that some of the audience members who break down into tears during the performance.

8. "Someone like you" by Adele

This is another breakup song. Adele was very depressed from her breakup when she wrote this. Adele stated when writing this song "this song is about getting over an ex, hoping to find another who can bring back those feelings that made it so special." so in conclusion songs about breakups are usually sad because most of the time leaving a relationship is sometimes hard.

Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
