Top 5 Things to Do on a Rainy Day

Rainy days have to be my favorite kind of day. Don't get me wrong, I love being outside in the nice weather. But, there is something about gloomy, rainy days, that I love. Something about the smell of rain gives me a calming state of mind. Now, I know everyone spends rainy days differently, but here are my top five favorite things to do on a rainy day!

5. Read a book

Reading a good book is a great way to spend a rainy day; nothing but the sound of rain falling and the pages of a book turning. Great combo! Whether is the on the couch, or outside on a front porch, there is nothing better than enjoying a book. There are many times I find myself out in one of the rocking chairs, reading page after page of a Nicholas Sparks novel. You could even add a cup of coffee or tea! What could be better!?

4. See a movie

Seeing a movie is also a great thing to do on a rainy day! There are always movies out, whether it be a horror film or chick flick, there is something for you! So grab some friends, get your popcorn and soda, and see a movie!

3. Clean...?

Okay, I know no body likes to clean, but its an idea right?! Cleaning your room, organizing your drawers, or doing that annoying laundry can make rainy days less boring. Trust me, This is a last resort for me, but it makes the time pass by.

2. Hang with friends

Hanging out with friends is always a great idea! Whether its watching movies, bowling, or just gossiping, having friends around is the great medicine to a rainy day. Pop in an old movie or go shopping, and enjoy!

1. NETFLIX!!

This is my go-to rainy day activity!! I. Love. Netflix. From Disney movies to Orange is the New Black, laying in bed watching Netflix while it rains is the best way to spend the day. You really can never go wrong with Netflix, am I right?!

There are many different things you can do on a rainy day! Whatever you decide, you can guarantee that your rainy day won't be as boring as you think! So cuddle up on the couch, or take a trip to the mall! Don't want to waste the day just because of a little rain!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.
