Top 5 Overrated Halloween Costumes Of 2016

THANK GOD Halloween is now over!! Don't get me wrong, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but by the end of Halloweekend, I was ready for it to be over. Here are some of the costumes I was sick of seeing by the end of college Halloweekend. Lack of originality seemed to be the theme of this year's Halloweekend. But hey, at least it's over! Now we can all look forward to Thanksgiving!

1. The Purge

Girls parading around in lingerie, heels, fake blood, and masks?! THIS one actually caught me by surprise. I definitely saw this one more than any other costume. Maybe because I can't stand people in masks, but this one was a bit scary to me. I was so over this entire costume Friday night before all the parties even started.

2. _____ out for Harambe

We all knew Harambe was going to be involved in Halloweekend somehow. The tits out for Harambe costume was almost as basic as the Purge and completely unoriginal.

3. Bunny

Wow, a leotard, some heels, and a pair of bunny heels. How unoriginal that all five of your friends and you are the same thing for Halloween. I was over college girls being Bunnies Friday night, three days before Halloween. By Monday I was ready to throw the next pair of ears I saw in the trash.

4. Angel/Devil

AW! So cute! Best friend costumes. NOT! Admittedly, I was more annoyed about the insta captions more than the actual costume. The not-trying-but-trying-too-hard caption that was just borderline too sexual captions really got on my nerves. This was almost as unoriginal as Bunny.

5. Harley Quinn

Alright, guys, even I fell into this trap. Yes, Harley was one of my costumes for Halloweekend. I knew that it would be basic, and I did it anyway. YET, it was not as popular as I thought it was going to be. I expected more girls to be dressed in the tiny sequined pants, with the blue and pink pigtails, yet I only saw maybe a total of 5 girls, all of Halloweekend. For being such an anticipated costume, this one was a bit of a letdown. But still, makes the cake for being one of the top 5 overrated Halloween costumes of 2016 because Harley Quinn was still one of the costumes that dominated Halloween overall.
