In recent years, Netflix has sort of become an icon of our generation. It has hundreds of series and movies in which you can literally watch for hours on end, just by paying one price per month. This can definitely get dangerous if you get hooked on that one good show. Although you're probably enjoying your summers outdoors, working some and spending time with friends and family, once school rolls around and you have that extra added stress, it is definitely nice to have a quality show to just kick back and enjoy.
Here are my top 5 recommendations of shows that everyone should enjoy on Netflix:
1. Greys Anatomy
I am sure you have all heard the constant rave about this show and the fact that it is twelve seasons and still going strong, but let me tell you - it is WORTH the hype. Somehow, Shonda Rhimes kept me entertained for twelve seasons of this wonderful dramatic show with so many twists you won't believe. Make sure you have a lot of time once you start because you will definitely keep pressing "continue playing" on Netflix when the little message pops up.
2. Friends
This definitely has to be one of the funniest shows of all time. Ten seasons of the best group of six friends with all such different personalities that it just works. Re-watching these episodes does not make them any less funny, which just goes to show the true comedy. Do yourself a favor and watch this show whenever you could really use some laughs.
3. New Girl
Another high quality and hysterical show, I promise you that you will laugh while watching this. Jess and her roommates are so weird together as a group. Jess is extremely optimistic, Nick not so optimistic and Schmidt (my favorite) is conceited but so lovable at the same time. This is another series that will definitely boost your mood so start binge-watching very soon!
4. One Tree Hill
A classic story of two rival brothers and their friends as they grow up in the small town of Tree Hill, North Carolina. The characters always say really inspirational things and life lessons that were not too cliche. There are also lots of unexpected twists to keep the series exciting and moving fast.
5. Gossip Girl
Life for these characters on the upper east side in Manhattan is always filled with drama, but somehow they all work out their problems in the end. This series really goes by fast and you'll probably find yourself taking sides in the show, guessing who the "Gossip Girl" really is, and rooting for Chuck and Blair's relationship the whole time.
