Date parties: the best part about being in a fraternity/sorority or knowing someone in a fraternity/sorority. It's the best excuse to dress up like idiots and go out with your friends. It's Halloween every Thursday! However, not all date parties are created equal. Some themes are just better than others.

5. Toga Party

Toga parties are the fifth best theme, because of the simplicity. You just buy a white sheet and turn into clothing, it's super easy and relatively cheap. Big plus: any toga can be dressed up with gold jewelry and gold glitter of course.

4. Shipwrecked/Hawaiian/Island Party

Island parties are another very easy party to dress up for. Just use a bikini top and shorts and then throw an oversized Hawaiian shirt on to really drive home the theme. These parties typically call for a colorful wardrobe, which makes them better than white toga parties. Of course, there's also the excuse to come up with cute drink names, like Caribbean Cooler.

3. Dynamic Duo Party

I love love love dynamic duo parties because it's a really great opportunity to go all out with your date. It requires tons of coordination and communication. And who in their right mind would pass up the opportunity to dress up like Squints & Wendy or Bonnie & Clyde?!?

2. Rave/Neon/Paint Party

This is the perfect excuse to buy glow sticks, glitter, tacky lipstick, and blacklights. This versatile theme appeals to a large audience because you could take your significant other or someone you just met and it won't be awkward. Everyone will be too caught up in enjoying their night.

1. Jersey Party

Jersey parties hold a very special place in my heart. It was the date party that Isaac took me too. Isaac is better known as "Purple Polo Heelys Guy." So yes, I am that girl from the campus story. Besides this, I'm also very into sports so I love any excuse to wear my jersey and rep my teams.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
