We are already well into summer, and with that being said, we seem to spend a lot of time with family and friends. Whether that means on the lake, at the beach, or by the pool, we are outside a lot. We listen to a lot of music, and country is by fay my personal favorite. Here is a list of my top country songs for summer.
1. "Wasted Time" -- Keith Urban
This song is the perfect explanation of things that teenagers do in their free time. Although the title leads you to think differently, I think he is trying to say that this is not wasted time at all- rather time where we make the best memories. This song has such a catchy beat, and is a great summer song.
2. "American Country Love Song" -- Jake Owen
This song is hands down amazing. I always sing along to this song. It talks about two young kids falling in love and is such a sweet story. The title implies that he is explaining a cliche story of two teenagers in love, but the actual song is something so memorable.
3. "21 Summer" -- Brothers Osborne
This song is something that reminds me of one that I would play on a long road trip, especially one through back roads. It seems like a song you would play with the windows down. It features the man talking about memories of him with a girl from a past summer. The guitar in the background is something that is peaceful and relaxing.
4. "Came Here To Forget" -- Blake Shelton
To me, this seems like more of a night time song, maybe even something you would dance along to with someone. It is a bit slower, but still very catchy. He drags out some of the words, which makes the words very easy to learn. The song talks about getting back at your ex almost -- drinking and flirting with other people to try and forget the pain. Although it seems somber, the beat seems to make it a bit more positive and something you would want to listen to with other people.
5. "H.O.L.Y." -- Florida Georgia Line
This is the perfect song to sing aloud to. Whether it's with your friends or significant other, it tells such a meaningful story that is sure to capture someone's attention.
I hope this gave some suggestions, and if any others are on your mind, please feel free to leave them in a comment so other readers can possibly expand their summer playlists!
