The characters of "Game of Thrones" are some of the most complex that I have seen in a show. Their personalities range from witty, violent, just, strong, powerful, heroic, sinful and so much more. All of the things that tie together to make them memorable characters are also what make us decide whether we love or hate them. In this case, I want to talk about some of my favorite characters of "Game of Thrones."
5. Jon Snow.
While he is irresistible and all girls swoon over him, I would only consider him top five of the best characters of this show. He is a great leader, thinks his decisions through and unlike many of the characters of the show, he is just. Jon Snow does not go around killing anyone that gets in his way, but rather kills someone if he finds it to be just. That is one of my favorite things about him, and probably one of the reasons why he makes a strong and trustworthy leader. Jon is also capable of putting things in the past and making peace with enemies — also a great characteristic.
4. Cersei Lannister.
You might be shocked by this one. So many viewers hate her, but part of me kind of admires her. She is fearless, bold and does not hold back when it comes to protecting her family or getting what she wants. While some might consider her to be crazy and selfish, I like that she has her priorities in check. She can be very manipulative, but many fear her too much to stand in her way.
3. Arya Stark.
As her character develops throughout the show, you come to find that she is a complete badass. Some of the most satisfying scenes from "Game of Thrones" are those in which she is able to cross off another name from her list. Time after time she is underestimated and seen as a lost, weak little girl, and time after time she proves people wrong. Arya is not one to mess with. She survives even when all odds are against her.
2. Daenerys Targaryen.
Yet another fearless character. She started the show seeming so weak and incapable, but came from having nothing to having an army, followers and her three dragons. She is truly complex, and there is a lot to say and think of her. Her enemies think they can walk all over her, but she proves them wrong. She wants the best for her people, and will not stop until she gets to the throne. And of course, this character frees those in chains, gains more followers and gets closer to the throne, all while looking flawless. Dany is a powerful, fierce woman.
1. Tyrion Lannister.
The most unexpected and loved character of the show in my opinion. Although he is small and some characters mock him for that, nothing puts him behind. Tyrion reads a lot and is extremely wise. He is a Lannister, but he is not focused on gaining more power, land or wealth. He has overcome the fact that members of his own family despise him, and he is always moving forward in his life. Although he spends so much time drinking wine, he is not some drunk fool. Unlike a vast majority of the characters in "Game of Thrones," Tyrion knows right from wrong and does not harm others for personal gain.
