5 Binge-Worthy Shows On Netflix

Weekend equals Netflix binge. You have all the time in the world to burrow in your bed and watch the latest shows. Netflix makes it so easy to watch episode after episode of your favorite shows. That's all we need in life: food, bed, and Netflix. If you've already finished Making a Murderer, then you're most likely looking for a new, (or an old) favorite show to binge. I've completed a list of my to 5 most binge-worthy shows on Netflix.

1. House Of Cards

This is an old favorite of mine. Watching Frank Underwood work his way to the top of the political throne is a thrilling ride. I'm only on season 2 (no spoilers!!) But this has still become one of my favorite shows to binge. If you're not into seeing the devious side of politics and power, then this might not be the show for you. But if you are looking for that, then you've come to the right place.

2. Parks and Recreation

This is one of my all-time favorite shows. I never knew that working for a small town local government could be so hilarious. Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and her witty counterparts all bring light to a seemingly thankless job. Their witty banter and funny shenanigans are comedy gold. If watching Amy Poehler bring life to her character isn't enough entertainment for you, then perhaps you'll find a connection with Chris Pratt's character, Andy Dwyer, or Rob Lowe's character, Chris Traeger.

3. Criminal Minds

This show might not be for the faint at heart. This show can get gruesome, but once you get hooked, you're hooked for life. The actors on this show bring life to their characters and the cases their characters handle. Based on the Behavior Analysis Unit of the FBI, this show covers a whole broad range of events. Criminal Minds will play on all of your emotions, but if you're willing to dive in, it's well worth it. I've just started binge watching this show. I've already gotten to season 4, and I'm emotionally attached to the characters.

4. The 100

Set in a futuristic space station, 100 young adults are banished and sent down to Earth after a nuclear disaster wipes out life. They're sent to Earth to see if it's inhabitable and must fight to survive in a world they haven't visited before. I've only recently started watching this show, but from what I have seen, it's very binge-worthy. If you like Si-Fi flicks, this is right up your alley.

5. Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones is described by Netflix as "A girl hired to find a pretty NYU student who's vanished, but it turns out to be more than a simple missing-person case." I just added this show to My List, and I look forward to the hours I will spend binge watching. There's only one season of this show, but it looks so good and it'll be worth your time. And, finishing season 1 will give you something to look forward to: Season 2.

These are just a few of the shows on my Netflix list that I can't help but binge. Whether you like Si-Fi or crime shows or maybe you're more of a comedy person, there is something for everyone on Netflix. Binge On.

*I am not sponsored to write this. I'm just a simple college kid trying to procrastinate by getting emotionally attached to characters on a TV show that I've watched for hours.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
