If you've seen me walking around campus with a smile on my face, you may be wondering what is making this girl so unreasonably happy during dead week? The answer -- Christmas music. It's no secret that despite my ambiguous and basically nonexistent religious affiliation, I absolutely love the holidays, all of 'em. It may also be a result of a childhood growing up in the midwest, but snow and winter and all things merry translate into the most wonderful time of the year for me. Don't believe me? I sacrificed bringing back some clothes after Thanksgiving, just so I could pack a mini christmas tree in my suitcase. Thus, as a self-proclaimed expert of the holidays I share with you my top three favorite Christmas albums to get your spirits up through all your finals.

1. Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album

Despite the fact that I dropped the ball on watching Glee at the start of Season 3, I remember when this first came out years back and I kept hearing it in all the department stores around this time of year, so this one is a bit cheesy and nostalgic for me. Nonetheless it's still one of my favorites. A couple of my favorite songs off this album are Last Christmas and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. Not enough Christmas music to satisfy your spirited cravings? The cast of Glee has come out with 3 more volumes to meet all your holiday needs.

2. Justin Bieber - Under The Mistletoe (Deluxe Edition)

Now if there's one thing I love about the holidays, it's that my regular taste in music goes out the window. Most people don't believe me when I say I enjoy most types of music, because I usually listen to basic hipster and underground trash so I look cool, but if there's one thing I love it's an auto-tuned remix of Drummer Boy feat a rap by Busta Rhymes describing the delicate balance between keeping up with your families during the holidays while also maintaining your fanbase and famous pop career. So relatable, am I right? In all seriousness, what would one of my music recommendation listicles be with good ol' Bieber.

Iconic Lines: "Christmas time so here's a recital / I'm so bad like Michael I know"; "Stupid, stupid, love like cupid"; "matter fact let's gather round the fireplace while we get hot here"

3. Michael Bublé - Christmas (Deluxe Special Edition)

Fairly straightforward in his title, our handsome friend Michael sells it best with his deep, rich voice that'll warm anyone on a cold winter day. This one is a classic and definitely deserves a mention in my top three Christmas albums. If you're looking for something not quite as skippity-doo-dah as the previous two albums, this one has some great slower songs to play in the background while sitting by the fireplace, sipping some hot chocolate, to give you those warm holdiay vibes.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
