I waited with baited breath for Drake’s album to drop. Then I waited for it to drop on Spotify so I wouldn’t have to pay for it. It just dropped today, so naturally I’ve been doing nothing but listening to it religiously and let me tell you: it’s lit. So I’ve compiled for you my top 10 songs on Drake’s new album. I’m excluding “One Dance” and “Hotline Bling,” because those had already dropped before the album and everyone knows them already. But they’re both fantastic. Believe me it wasn’t easy, because there are so many good ones, but here it is.
10. "Redemption"
This is the seventh song on the album. This is more of a slower jam, but the lyrics are good and very Drake.
9. "Feel No Ways"
This is the fourth song on the album. This has a catchy beat to it, as well as the lyrics calling out the disloyal females. This is what we expect from Drake.
8. "Pop Style"
This is the 15th song on the album. This song has a great beat to it. It's great to dance to with the catchy one-liners that Drake is known for.
7. "U With Me?"
This is the third song on the album. "While you typin’ make sure you tell me/ what type of games are bein’ played/ How’s it goin’ down?/ if it’s on til we gone then I gots to know know/ is you wit me or what?" It's lyrics like these that make this album as awesome -- and Drake -- as we want.
6. "With You" ft. PARTYNEXTDOOR
This is the eighth song on the album. With lines like "it’s about us right now girl where you goin’?” it's so much fun to sing along. Also PARTYNEXTDOOR kills it on this song with great vocals.
5. "Controlla"
This is the 11th song on the album. This song is so much fun to dance to and sing "like controlaaaa, controlaaaa, yeah." I highly recommend you give it a listen.
4. "Hype"
This is the fifth song on the album. Drake gives a shout out to "Riri" and "Young Money." So make sure you "count it and count it again to make sure the money is right" while listening to this song.
3. "Still Here"
This is the 10th song on the album. This song has a fire chorus that you end up learning right away. It's really just a great time had by all. "You're not from the city/I can tell, I can tell, dog."
2. "Too Good" ft. Rihanna
This is the 16th song on the album. This has a fresh dance beat and a singable chorus. Also, Rihanna...need I say more?
1. "Grammys" ft. Future
This is the 13th song on the album and it's the best. The beat is fire, the bass is dope, the lyrics are spitting, and Future and Drake together cannot be beat.
