The 11 Sins Of College Dorm Life

College is a place where new things happen and new challenges emerge. With new challenges comes new vices. Here are ten sins you can commit in a dorm.

1. Taking other peoples' clothes out of the dryer when they aren’t dry.

There is a special place in hell for people who do this.

2. Burning popcorn.

The popcorn button on the microwave does not work ... and now your whole floor will suffer the consequences for your actions.

3. Blasting music in the shower so the whole world can hear.

But the acoustics are fantastic! Be that as it may, we still can't sleep because you're informing us that girls rule the world. We already know. Thanks.

4. Leaving food crumbs in the lounge.

Say hello to my little friends, Mr. Mice and Mr. Roach.

5. Throwing up in the hallway or the bathroom.

Ah, Thirsty Thursdays ...

6. Forgetting to flush the toilet.

You're the worst type of person. No comment.

7. Washing dirty Ramen dishes in the bathroom sink.

There is nothing I love more than seeing soggy noodles as I brush my teeth.

8. Screaming down the hallway to your friends.

Indoor voices, people.

9. Dumping someone else’s clean clothes on the laundry room floor.

There is an even deeper spot in hell for people like you.

10. Leaving hair globs in the shower.

Locks of love do not take donations from the shower drain.

11. Having long, dramatic phone conversations in the stairwell where everyone can hear you.

We get it, you have problems. We all have problems, but we do not need an audience to vent about them. Sometimes I wonder if people strategically go to the hallway to fight on the phone, drama queens.

College is a great time to upset all the people living around you, but for everyone's sake, please don't.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
