Unfortunately, summer vacation will end and another school year will begin. Whether you're looking forward to it or dreading it, you know that deep down inside there are things you cannot wait to come back to as a Seton Hall student. Here are just a few...

1. Moving into your New Place

Whether you're getting to move into a different dorm building or your new off-campus apartment, it's always exciting to switch things up and start the decorating process all over again. And of course, if you have a new roommate, that's just as exciting, too.

2. Syllabus Week

We all know what goes down syllabus week. It's the best week of the whole semester for most.

3. Blue Day Carnival

I mean, the first 56 days are pretty incredible in general...everyone knows that means lots and lots of free food, rides, and fun!

4. Hanging out on the Green

This is probably one of my personal favorites. I love bringing out a ton of blankets and soaking up the sun, hanging out with great people. I can't wait to see everyone enjoying the weather on the Green (and we all know it's pretty much everyone).

5. Basketball Game

Especially with Delgado coming back for his senior year, us Pirates can't wait for the upcoming season! Over priced food, hoisting the colors, the sign mafia, the possibility of winning a free chicken sandwich from Chick-Fil-A...there are so many things to look forward to when thinking about the new season.

6. Seeing all of Your Friends

Obviously, leaving campus means leaving all of your friends for the summer, especially if you all are not from the same area. One of my best friends being in California while I'm still here in New Jersey is probably the toughest thing ever. I - and I know a lot of others as well - can't wait to be back at SHU surrounded by all of the best people.

7. Ordering From Your Favorite Food Place

Speaking of friends, one of our favorite things to do is order food at night. Whether you order from Tito's, El Greco's, Domino's, your favorite Chinese food spot, etc., you know you miss being surrounded by your favorite people and good food.

8. Being Back with your Sorority/Fraternity

Even though you've probably seen your brothers and sisters loads over the summer, it's always better when you're all together. I know I can't wait to come back and prepare for another year with all of my sisters!

9. Brand New Faces!

A new year means a ton of new faces. Freshmen bring a ton of energy and overall good vibes to the campus. Maybe it's just because I'm a PA, but I can't wait to see new people around campus. And of course, for those who run clubs or Greek life doing recruitment, you could be bringing fresh new faces to your organization, which is also exciting.

10. Graduation

Of course, as a new year rolls around, many are already thinking about graduation. As always, we're sad to see some of our best pirates go, but we all know you'll be doing great things. Enjoy your last year as an undergraduate, even though you can't wait for it to be over and move on. And of course, we'll miss you!

What are you excited to come back to?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
