Top 10 Passion 2017 Songs
Long Hollow Baptist Church

I had the privilege of going to the 2017 Passion Conference this year in Atlanta, Georgia with 50,000 other college students. On February 17, Passion released all of the music that was played. I thought it only fitting to share with you some of my favorite songs that were sung, and that have been stuck in my head ever since. If you are between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five, I recommend attending this conference at least one time in your life. If you are NOT between these ages, you can still be a part of this awesome experience by volunteering to be a Door Holder. For more information, go to Passion’s website!

Your life will be changed forever. You will cry. You will feel the presence of God in a room that is filled with students your age, just wanting to know more about the God we serve. Wanting to know more about what it is like to follow Him; to really know Him.

1. I Ran Out of that Grave by Passion Band

This is one of my all-time favorite songs from Passion, the reason why I put it in the number one spot. Go listen to it and you will know why.

2. Forgiven by Crowder

This song by Crowder had already been out, but I heard it for the first time at Passion. It is so beautiful, and it will make you cry.

3. Glorious Day by Passion Band ft. Kristian Stanfill

This song had the whole Georgia Dome clapping along. It’s one of those songs that makes you naturally jump up and down, and scream it from the top of your lungs.

4. Worthy of Your Name by Passion Band

Because Jesus is worthy, so worthy, and deserves all of our praise. This was the last song sung at Passion 2017. I cried.

5. How Great is Your Love for Us by Passion Band ft. Kristian Stanfill

This is one of those songs that the lyrics are so simple, yet so powerful.

6. Worthy of Every Song (Build My Life) by Passion Band ft. Brett Younker

The lyrics of this song speak so much truth!

7. This We Know by Passion Band ft. Kristian Stanfill

The lyrics speak such reassuring words.

8. Something in the Water by Carrie Underwood

Yes, you heard me correctly, Carrie Underwood. She made a guest appearance and it was unbelievable. David Crowder was singing one of his songs, and then all of a sudden this really high voice started singing. I had my eyes open at the time and I saw Carrie Underwood come into focus on the big screen. I immediately freaked out and turned to my friend Hanna standing next to me, we both freaked out – and about that same time all 50,000 of us freaked out.

9. Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin

This song may also seem like it is overplayed, but I don’t care. Its message and everything about it make it a song that I will be playing forever.

10. How He Loves/Come as You Are by David Crowder

This song was sung at Passion with a lot of string instruments, go look up the live version, it is beautiful.

Honorable Mentions:

Oceans by Hillsong United

Of course Hillsong United always makes an appearance at this conference, and of course they have to play Oceans. This song is SO overplayed, and from being in a worship band for more than five years, I would know. However, you have not fully experienced this song until it is being sung by 50,000 people in the Georgia Dome.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
