Marvel definitely has a way with words, but these are definitely the best.

Top 10 Marvel Cinematic Universe Quotes

Since 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been blessing screens, big and small, with some of the best films and TV shows Hollywood has ever produced. With that being said, each installment has created memorable quotes that inspire us and make us laugh.

1. Peggy Carter

I put this one first because it holds such significance and meaning. Peggy Carter has spent her entire life working with men who feel they are superior to her just because of her gender. This quote is a great example for girls of any age because Carter shows that even if a man says you are worthless, all that matters is that you believe in yourself.

2. Nick Fury

This quote is the perfect sum of humor and seriousness. At this time in the movie, Fury puts his full faith in the Avengers and goes against the council because he believes this motley crew of sorts can get the job done. It basically symbolizes being unafraid to take a leap of faith.

3. The Hulk

I'm sure I could make up some reason why this quote is important but I put it on the list purely for it's comical aspect. The dude just beat the crap out of a Norse god.

4. Tony Stark

You were probably expecting to see Stark's famous "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist" quote, but this one holds more importance. Sure, the other one is funny and shows the narcissistic personality that we all know and love, but by admitting to being Iron Man, Stark faces his demons and forces himself to live up to the symbol of heroism he has become.

5. Steve Rogers

This quote was by far the hardest for me to choose. Why? because Captain America is freaking amazing and never has a bad thing to say. He could say 'toasty milk' and I will think it's the best phrase ever said. But, I chose this one because it sums up who the Captain is. What makes him so special? I mean besides being a super soldier, the man literally fights for the greater good and is just a simple kid from Brooklyn who doesn't like bullies.

6. Bucky Barnes

If you don't think this is the most painful quote ever said (yet), you're lying to yourself. The Winter Soldier's quote is on this list because it's not only pivotal in the movie, but the whole MCU as well. (I would go on, but I would be spoiling future movies for those who don't know the comics.)

7. Loki

This might be one of the most quoted lines from any of the movies. Loki's line made the list for several reasons, the first being its embodiment of what he thinks of himself and his mischievous wit. Secondly, it foreshadows future events that foreshadow even further future events. (Mind blown.)

8. Scott Lang

AntMan earned himself a place on this list simply because this is the greatest introduction of oneself to an Avenger.

9. Groot

CAN YOU SAY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT?! I'm taking a guess and saying these three words changed your life and made you see the real value of true friendship and probably made you cry. It would be a sin if this wasn't on the list. These three words will forever hold a place in this fan's heart.

10. Clint Barton

Hawkeye tends to grace us with his unrelenting sass, however he can occasionally say something massively meaningful and powerful. This is number 10 for many reasons, mainly that Clint has faith in basically a total stranger (who, moments ago, was fighting against him) to now help finish the battle that she helped start. This scene encapsulates what the whole MCU is about; bringing a bunch of random and weird people together to better the world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
