Too Good To Be True Doesn't Mean It's Not Real

No one is perfect, nothing is perfect, but some things do come together perfectly.

Too Good To Be True Doesn't Mean It's Not Real

We hear it all the time, "it's just too good to be true." We're all guilty of thinking it or saying it at one point or another, but what do we really mean when we say this? We find something or someone that seems perfect and we immediately ask ourselves what the catch could be, what the hidden flaw is or worry about how we could mess it up. We're looking at these situations as something that's too good to be true and it's scary when something is finally working and it finally fits together. Why are we so set on finding the one flaw in a seemingly perfect situation?

No one is perfect, nothing is perfect but some things do come together perfectly. We shouldn't be scared just because someone or something finally comes together. In life we have little bumps in the road there's no avoiding it, what we seem to forget is that all of these "bumps" are part of our story that brings us to where we're meant to be. The bumps teach us lessons but also teach us how to appreciate someone so much more when we're in a good spot.

It's important for us to stop looking at things as too good to be true, it makes us anxious, feeling like it's bound to come to an end because you can't believe this could actually be happening. I always catch myself holding my breath in certain situations that I'm so happy in because I don't want things to change, but when I do this I forget to truly enjoy the moment. If you have a good thing going, embrace it, embrace every moment, every phase and every step of the way, even embrace the changes you face. Change doesn't have to be a bad thing, change can be growing with this person; chances are if it's fitting together and is just too good to be true, maybe you found your person, right where you're supposed to be and you'll face changes together rather than apart. Just because things change doesn't mean things are going downhill, things can change for the better and in all reality, things are always changing for the better; letting things come together that are meant to.

When the most unexpected things fit together, run with it. Don't look for something to be wrong, be grateful and know you're lucky to have found something or someone like this for you. Trust your instincts, if you have something that's going great, let it. It's working out for a reason. Everything always works out in the end, things come together the way they were meant to, but we can't forget to put our own feet in motion. If you care about something, express it; you can't take a moment back but you can make that moment grow into something incredible. Too good to be true, may just become your reality.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
