Why Tomi Lahren Might Be The Worst
The Guardian

In the past few months I have found that somehow Tomi Lahren has made her way into my life, and she is actually one of the last people that I want to see in any of my news feeds on any social media platforms, but somehow she got there. I have read a few articles about her and watched a few of her extremely obnoxious and loud videos just because I needed to understand why this woman was popping up everywhere. So I thought why not give my opinion of her and her videos since she is willing to give her opinion of everything else.

She always seems to be yelling

In every video I’ve seen she always seems to be yelling, I don’t know if it is because she physically cannot hear how loud she is or maybe because if she thinks she’s loud enough people will care more about what she has to say. Either way it is okay to use your inside voice, Tomi.

Quoting herself

In her Facebook header she has a picture of herself and a quote from herself. Why? Sure she thinks that’s a great quote, but I’m sure there is some other quote that does the same thing from someone else. It makes me feel like she is completely full of herself if she has to put her own picture and quote as a Facebook header.

She doesn’t seem to understand

I watched one of her videos where she got aggressive toward people who are frustrated with the student debt situation. She said things about just paying your loans back, but doesn’t understand that the problem isn’t the loan itself, but maybe it’s the high interest rates on them that can be up around 10%. My question for her is are you paying your loans for college or did you have your parents pay for your schooling? Because update, not everyone’s parents can pay for their schooling, even if they really want to.

She might not realize she is an entertainer too

In one of her more recent videos she yelled about Meryl Streep’s speech at the Golden Globes, but I don’t think she realizes she is also an entertainer. She isn’t a journalist, reporter, or politician, she is a political commentator, meaning she literally comments on politics and may make some people laugh if they think she’s funny, making her entertaining, therefore making her an entertainer, just like Meryl Streep, except she’ll never win the same awards that Meryl has.

I hate to break it to you Tomi, but there are people out there who find you to be loud, obnoxious, and annoying. Maybe if you weren’t constantly attacking a good majority of America, there wouldn’t be so many article like this one.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
