You hear the term “forever friends” a lot. I consider my three best friends my forever friends because; well, we have known each other almost forever. Although we only became really close in high school, these are the reasons why they are my forever friends:
We bring out the best in one another. You could say that we are a unique bunch. Each of us has our own personality and are different in our own ways. Who knew the fashionista, sporty one, environmentalist, and the preppy one could all get along? Well, we proved everyone wrong, because we bring out the best in each other. Although we each have our own quirks, we still like each other. We are able to make each other laugh, cry, and just be ourselves around one another. That’s what I love most about us, although we have different interests, we still just get one another.
When we are together, there’s never a dull moment. We can either spend the whole night just talking about something random, to spending the whole day together making one of our “famous” music videos. As long as all four of us are involved with a bag of Doritos present, we’ll be all set. Even when we go months without seeing each other, most of the time is spent laughing about past memories, not what we missed. Some of my favorite memories are watching both Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies together trying to figure out which character we are. Or when we sang “Send Me On My Way” at the top of our lungs on our way home from Maine. I love that we can come back together like nothing ever changed. Whatever it is that we are doing together, it is memories spent together that I will remember for the rest of my life.
Although we all attend four different schools, in four different states, I can always count on the three of you even miles away. No matter the time of day, call or text, we are always ready with an ear to listen, or some words of wisdom. Over the last five years, there is no doubt; my three best friends have helped me become the person I am today. Not only have they supplied me with endless happiness, and laughter, but have taught me to love myself first. I have grown from being a shy girl to someone who’s down to earth, always ready for adventure. I value their opinion more than anyone else because I know they want what’s best for me. We have been there for each other with every challenge that we face, and have cheered each other on with every accomplishment.
As another summer is coming to an end, I couldn't thank you enough for the memories made. From late night bonfires, to country music concerts, and planning our perfect weddings, there is nobody else I would rather be with than you girls.
I can’t predict the future, but there is one thing that I know for certain. We will be forever friends. I can’t wait for what the future has in store for you; because I know you will go on to do great things. We have a special friendship that is indescribable. Here’s to growing old together. And to the sisterhood.
