It's OK to be the mom in your group of friends. Sure, we sometimes deal with things that may not be fun, like:
1. Volunteering to be DD every weekend because you don't trust anyone else to make sure your friends get home safely.
2. Making sure your friend doesn't leave a party with a guy or throw up all over that brand new outfit y'all bought the day before.
3. Taking your friend to the urgent care doctor on a Sunday morning.
4. Making sure your friend is awake for classes and actually goes to every single class.
5. Making sure your friend has had at least three meals because although college gets hectic, skipping meals isn't OK.
6. Telling your friend when something is too short or when their eyebrows or winged eyeliner isn't on fleek because it would be wrong to let them leave like that.
7. Telling your friend no when they want to buy that 24 pack of cupcakes from Walmart on a Friday night because spring break is right around the corner.
8. Reminding them that boys are nothing but trouble, and they deserve the very best.
And the list goes on. But at the end of the day, being the mom in your group of friends is nice because you know your friends will always be OK, and you are the reason for that. To all the "moms," keep doing what you do. Your friends truly appreciate it.
