Nice, France. 84 (at this point) killed, Orlando, Florida. 49 people murdered and that is just two of the hundreds of terror attacks around the globe just this year. A complete list can be found here.
In the scenes of mass confusion that flood the internet, where everyone who is physically able is fleeing from the danger, the one similarity no matter where in the world the attack happens; as people flee danger there are others who run toward it. In both Orlando and Nice police went running headlong into danger and were able to illuminate the threat before anymore innocent people died.
Police aren't always shown to be the hero.It has been all over the headlines about a police involved shooting that was live streamed on Facebook. The world was witness to a limited view of what took place. I honestly don’t know enough about that incident to make a judgment call on it but I hope that if the police officer was in the wrong that he will be brought to justice. Even if the police officer is found to be guilty of a crime and punished it still does not justify the reaction that was dealt out in Dallas.
For those of you who saw that video and are ready to burn the guy at the stake without a trial watch this. I ran across this video on Facebook this morning this gentleman was passing a man being thrown to the ground being arrested and immediately he assumed that this was a case of police violence and if you just watched what he filmed then most people would agree with him. Once you know all the facts and see what happened before he started filming it becomes clear that the police officers handled things like they should have.

People have the right to protest and hold signs and rally against perceived injustice but when a former military sniper takes aim and murders 11 police in another city in the name of black lives matter that is just insane. How can you proclaim any color life matters while killing innocent people?
At the service honoring the 11 police that were murdered Former President Bush honored police with these words.
“Most of us imagine, if the moment calls for it that we would risk our lives to protect a spouse or a child. Those wearing a uniform assume that risk for the safety of strangers.”
The whole speech 6-minute speech is worth listening too
Are there bad cops out there who take the power and authority that they have too far? Yeah but for every bad cop there are thousands of good cops who gladly risk life and limb everyday to insure our safety.
“Too often we judge other groups by their worst examples while judging ourselves by our best intentions.” – George W. Bush
To the men and women who wear the uniform and keep our streets safe and run into danger while the rest of us run away, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will not let the actions of one or two taint the whole police force. To all the spouses who stand by their partners even with the daily fear that when you kiss your spouse goodbye that may be the last time, Thank you.
All lives matter and all lives are valuable. Our lives are like Hailey’s comment, our impact on the world is once in a lifetime and can never be duplicated by another so each one is precious.
Or think about a kid’s song I learned in Sunday School, Red and Yellow, Black and White they are precious in His sight.
Let’s stop this whatever color life matters business and start realizing life matters and realize our police are not our enemies they are men and women just like us who do a job and face dangers most of us can not even fathom and they deserve our appreciation and our prayers.
