Almost all girls want to be noticed. We want that cute guy across the room to look over at us and smile or walk over and introduce himself. We want that group of girls to invite us out with them. We just want to be noticed. But let me tell you something, you are noticed.
You are noticed by someone far greater than the cute boy across the room or that group of girls. You are noticed and adored by your heavenly father.
I know that in today's time we all struggle with wanting to be noticed and wanting to feel like we are worth something. We tend to sit around and look at ourselves and feel minuscule and small and like we aren't worthy of that group of friends or worthy of that attractive guy. When we start to feel this way we tend to pick out those flaws that seem to stick out like a sore thumb and focus on them. We feel that because these people don't "notice" us we are somewhat worthless or that we aren't that special. When that happens we begin to be down on ourselves and tend to constantly have that mindset.
Today we all seem to feel as that if we are not noticed or we are not a part of that popular group or we don't have that dreamy boyfriend then we aren't special or important. We see ourselves as an outsider when it comes to social events and we feel alone on those special holidays.
But let me tell you something:
You are important, you are special, you are noticed, and you are worth more than you will ever know.
Psalms 139: 13-14 reads, "You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you know."
God himself made you, He handcrafted every curve, every freckle- every piece of your being.
God made you because He loves you, he has a plan for you and feels you are worthy.
This verse says, "I am wonderfully made," and it is so true, we are wonderfully made. God created us in his image and in his image alone. He doesn't want you to feel small or unworthy.
He wants us to feel strong and beautiful. Just think about it, the God who created the skies and the mountains, the rivers and all the amazing things in this world also created you. He took his time and hand crafted you into the person that you are and sees that you are good, worthy, and important.
So, so what if that boy doesn't notice you? He's probably not the one for you.
So, so what if that group of people don't ask you to hang out? They may not be the people you need to surround yourself with.
With that being said, pick yourself up and do your own thing. God has everything under control. After all, he always notices you.
