This is for a boy who made my first semester just okay..

Dear boy who sits next to me,

I want to thank you so much for being my friend. I really appreciate you helping me out in math. But, for keeping it real with me in class and making me laugh. You have made me laugh so many times in class this semester it can't be counted.

The first time you sat next to me in math, I have to say I was happy. You and your coffee are welcome to sit next to me any day. I didn't think we were going to be friends because you and I are very different. Math had some frustrating and confusing moments, but I am glad that I have you sitting next to me walking me through the problem. I still can't read your handwriting and neither can you, but maybe if we stare at it long enough we might get it. The funny weird faces you make on my notes makes me smile and lose focus when I am trying to study. You have given me 2-4 mini panic attacks when you been wrong about having a test. You consistently give me a hard time because you are smarter then me. I have grown fond of the teasing and harassment of your jokes. We are even with the teasing though so you can't hate me.

The English term "backslashy" will be our thing and I will be happy when we don't have to diagram again. (please don't diagram my sentences when we text.) My late birthday gift was special, a girl can't say no to Oreos and Hershey's Kisses,. You have open my eyes to thin Oreos, so thank you. I have to say you are one of a kind friend and I am happy we meet. I hope you find you a girl who will appreciate what you have to offer and your funny side. I'm sorry it didn't work out with the girl but she is obviously stupid.

You have given me a really great experience this semester. I will miss you next semester...

Bye bye super smart and special limited edition Matthew !!

P.S. : You have a big ego (:

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
